Garden fun!

Squirrel in the gardenHello,

I hope I find you having a great week. It's fair to say that autumn is definitely here. Conkers are falling and the leaves are changing and starting to tumble.

I think it's a stunning time of year… oh and there's a real chill in the air too! I mentioned a few blogs back about the squirrels in my garden. Well, I think it's just the one actually.

As I write this I can see him (to be fair, it could be a her, but we'll stick with him) leaping to and fro from our wisteria, hopping from branch to branch.

A few minutes ago he was crawling, really quickly, along the ground with his belly pressed firmly against the grass… not entirely sure why? He's very funny and is forever burying little deposits of food in our lawn and then patting the grass back down on top. I think all this storing of food is a possible sign of a cold winter? Time will tell.

It's been a really busy few days at QVC. In between my shifts I've been clearing and sorting out the house and taking all sorts to our local charity shop. During the tidy up we found a lovely Polo by Ralph Lauren T-shirt and we have no idea where it came from? We're baffled! Is it yours by any chance!? Great looking t-shirt!

I've been playing loads of tennis and heading to the gym as well. I'm convincing myself (or simply kidding myself) that I feel better for it! I headed to the cinema last week to see Taken 2. Wow! What a film. If you saw Taken, I don't think you'll be at all disappointed. Real edge of the seat viewing. I went with my sister and we had a great time, devouring a large bucket of popcorn between us.

Have a great weekend and I hope you can join me for the Diamond Spectacular, three- hour special, this Monday afternoon (15th Oct) at 4pm.

Take care

Charlie x

Hi Charlie, yes we thought our squirrel was cute, burying things all over the lawn, we have a small oak tree in our garden and our squirrel decided to bury loads and loads of acorns last autumn. When I finally got back out in the garden last spring I had oak trees growing all over the lawn!!!!But it did make me smile when I found little oak trees growing in EVERY flowerpot (and there are a few). he still shows up every morning and eats the sunflower seeds that I leave out for the birds.I’m thinking of charging him rent!! best wishes Yvie

Lovely photo Charlie! I haven’t seen any squirrels in the back garden yet! I have seen some out on my walks but non at home :(
Its a shame really because we use to see them all the time, but non now, just a lot of foxes, which are also great to watch and photograph :)
