Fun times at work and at home

Hello, I hope you’re all well. This week so far has been a lot of fun. I can’t say too much but Eilidh and I finally got to work together the other day. As you may, or may not, have noticed, we work alternate days so we never get to hang out. It was so lovely to get to know each other, she’s an absolute poppet, and we had such a laugh filming a new promo. It’s very tongue in cheek so I hope it makes you smile as much as it did us on the day! They had us doing some pretty nutty stuff, so we’ll see what makes the cut!

The pink jumper is from Ruth Langsford’s collection, and comes in lots of lovely colours.

The kids have also been having lots of fun. Josh put on his drama show, he was a tiger and had a line to say and did some dancing. I cried with a mixture of laughter, as he looked wonderfully camp in his tiger onesie swaying with his hands on his hips, and with pride.

Izzy had hers the week after and was just as brilliant, singing and dancing and remembering her cues and lines. She loves it all so much and yes I cried at hers too. I’m a softie.

As well as her drama, she also loves drawing and colouring so when I saw these I had to get her one, and if I get one for Izzy then I have to get one for Josh! They’re from Selfie Clothing and they’re T-shirts that kids colour in. In celebration of Easter’s imminent arrival Izzy had the bunny one and Josh had dinosaurs. Josh is three and a half, so a little bit young, but he did some and directed me with what colours he wanted where… he’s very good at giving orders! They both loved them and put them on straight away. Its non uniform day for Izzy on Friday and she’s already told me she wants to wear hers to show her friends.

Something that’s surprisingly good fun is this Rio Make-up Brush Cleaner, and it’s one of our Big Deal offers this week. I’m rubbish at cleaning my make-up brushes, I always put it off as it’s such a boring job and takes ages and then you have to leave them over night to dry. Urgh! But we know it’s an important thing to do, otherwise you’re just rubbing old make-up, dirt and bacteria all over your face. Makes my tummy feel queasy thinking about it! Well this gizmo is just genius! It takes seconds to do each brush. You dunk it in the bowl with some anti-bacterial soap, using the spinney handle that has different attachment sizes to work for every size brush, and it does all the hard work. Even better is when you lift it out, it spins all the excess water off the brush leaving it virtually dry!

Other Big Deals we have this week are this gorgeous ladder sleeve detail top from Attitudes by Renee. And this fabulous battery powered lawn mower and trimmer kit from Ryobi. No more cables, no more petrol, it’s a dream and at a brilliant price too! I think these Big Deals will go fast this week so don’t miss out! Take a closer look at the top right here…

Next time we chat via blog I’ll be 40! EEK!! Oh and my hall floor will hopefully finally be sorted. I’m not sure which I’m more excited about! Oh dear, I’m definitely turning forty!

Have a wonderful week and I hope we’ve seen the last of this pesky snow! Hurry up summer!!

Much love,

Alex x
