    Dear Simon
My brother has had keyhole surgery on both his knees (at different times) and although it was slightly uncomfortable, it takes no time at all to get over it. He stayed in hospital overnight, drove himself back from the hospital and was back at work after a few days. Dont worry. You will be fine.
    Kind regards

Dear Simon, Showed your mystery flower to my husband Ken & he went to one of our many books and believes it to be a Zephyranthes grandiflora (Late summer to early autumn flowering bulb with narrowly strap-shaped, semi errect, basal leaves. Each stem bears a funnel-shaped, pink flower, held almost errect. H20-30cm.) What a beauty yours looks.
I have been busy today!! Christmas shopping on QVC (who needs to go round crowded shops in this weather when (being retired) we can shop from the comfort of home.
Love to all at QVC X

    Hi Simon,
I’m an enthusiastic but not terribly experienced gardener really but I think your mystery flower looks like an alstroemeria.

  11. Simon Biagi November 12, 2009 at 2:35 pm -  Reply

    Dear Marion
Zephyranthes grandiflora was a fine try but the flower stem is much, much thicker than the Zephyranthes. Think in terms of an Amaryllus. have another go Ken!

  12. Simon Biagi November 12, 2009 at 2:37 pm -  Reply

    Dear Irene
I still have some Alstomeria in flower in my garden but they are alot smaller than my mystery plant and they have been out all summer, this one just started so that’s the big clue!.

    Hi Simon
I think your plant is an crinum powellii ,its fragrant ,likes a sunny position and is half hardy. love your shows and all of qvc ,i have done most of my christmas shopping from qvc .Happy Christmas to all the staff at qvc

  14. Simon Biagi November 16, 2009 at 2:34 pm -  Reply

Not the Crinum powelli but a good guess, and not an Alsomeria (they ahve been flowering in my garden for months now but this flower has only just appeared). The Zephyranthes grandiflora sounds splendid but once again more of a summer flowering plant and probably more fragrant than my Autumn Flower. Keep guessing.

Hellow Simon. Thought your plant was similar to an Amaryllis but didn’t
call in. It is from the same family I have discovered by Googling. Hayloft sell the bulb in the spring so perhaps a word with Richard Jackson as I am sure there are many people who would be interested now you have drawn it to our attention. It appears it grows best in Cornwall Ireland and Scotland so don’t know why or how yours is doing so well in the South!! Happy Christmas to you and your family. Peter

    Hi Simon,
I’ve always wanted to chat to you about the Click Free back up you recommend so highly, I don’t mind at all if you don’t put my comment up but it’s just something I’ve always thought but never had the opportunity to say. I don’t like the idea at all, it seems to take control rather than you having control of your back up. Plus I don’t like the fact that it doesn’t back up programmes as well as files, when the guest says you don’t need to back up your programmes that isn’t true. Nowadays most programmes are downloaded from the Internet, my Norton, my PSP and numerous other programmes have been downloaded and are backed up by me on arrival. If you have to have a separate back up ie DVD or external HD for them it kind of defeats the object.
As for people saying they’ve never backed up it amazes me from my first computer eons ago when I only had a floppy disk for recording I’ve always backed up. I do it every couple of days, at the moment on DVD’s, eventually I will buy a external HD but it won’t be one that takes away my control. I like to control my PC not the other way around LOL

  17. Simon Biagi November 30, 2009 at 1:50 pm -  Reply

    Hi Marion
I suppose the point we are trying to emphasize with the click free back up is that you don’t HAVE to take control if you don’t want to. You can of course configure it to use it as a straight forward hard drive and choose what things to deposit on it yourself. With regard to programs: generally you will either have the disc or the rights to download another copy (if that’s how you got the program in the first place) should anything happen and you need to re install. You can of course back up programs too, although this isn’t done as standard.
Thank you for your feedback, it will give me new questions to ask the guest the next time we present click free!

    HI Simon
I’ve just watched the repeat of the canon camera/ video where you put the blonde wig on – I couldn’t stop laughing!!! Absolutely brilliant!! Dale’s face was a picture – you looked like ‘Rod Stewart’ gone wrong!
I also remember you from pre QVC/TV days. I have a brochure for a kilt shop in Glasgow- and you’re one of the models! Have to say you haven’t changed a bit! Think I’ll need to send it in to QVC for your next anniversary show!
Fab watching you – top stuff!!

    Hi Yvonne
So you don’t think its worth me investing in a wig of my own???

  23. Simon Biagi May 21, 2010 at 2:43 pm -  Reply

    Hi Nikki an Baz
Yes I am insulin dependent and have been on insulin for over 25 years. This are ok but as I get older the control becomes harder so I have to work at it a little bit more. However I always try to think of the positives and it has never stopped me doing anything I want to so I am lucky!
Thanks so much for asking and saying I look healthy….. after finishing so late in the night I sometimes think I look a bit scary (old and tired)!!

    Hi Simon,
I was lucky enough to be one of the lucky winners in the ticket ballot to receive an invitation to the QVC A/w 2012 fashion show.
I had a fabulous time and had the pleasure of meeting you (I was the tall black woman who arrived slightly late). I thought you and Kathy & all the models were lovely. The event was beautifully organised and you were utterly charming. Keep up the good work.
    Kind regards

Good Morning Simon, I was wondering if you could do me a favour please. As you are on air with Richard Jackson on Saturday 7th March, could you please ask him what the ratio of Lawn Magic to water is please. My label has come off, so I do not know how much to use. Thank you so much. With kind regards Susan Newbery .
