I was watching the D.B. show on Tuesday and I think you said you collect handcrafted cards for the Cats Protection League. If this is right, would you like me to send you some – in their cello bags of course!!! I have been crafting for nearly a year and have quite a lot of stock, which I haven’t yet sold,if you would like them. I sell them for Breast Cancer as I had a mastectamy last year. Can you email me a reply please.

  2. Catherine Huntley January 27, 2009 at 5:32 pm -

    Hello Pat,
Thanks for your message. You did, indeed, hear me correctly about the Cats Protection League. I have a huge backlog of cards to send off to them as people have been so very generous.
I will try to track down your email address with our internet department but just in case you see this first you can email me at info@catherine-huntley.co.uk and then I’ll have your email to reply to. There is an entry in my Craft Etc blog which gives details regarding the card donations if you’d like to take a look there also.
Pat, I’d also like to commend you for taking such positive action after your own experience with breast cancer. I’m so sorry for the year you must’ve had but I would like to wish you so much happiness and health as we enter 2009.
I hope to be in touch very soon,
    Love Catherine x

  3. Veronica Daley February 5, 2009 at 1:24 am -

    Hi Catherine
I was watching you this week showing Honora Pearls on Mon or Tues this week? (cant remember – sat?).
Anyway I normally love your presenting – but this time I was very annoyed. Instead of showing the earings and the type of closing each one had – you put them striaght in your ear!!! aarrgh!!! I ordered a pair anyway – but I fear might have to send them back like the last pair because I couldnt get them in my ear!!! because the curve was too small!. The particular earings I wanted to see were ones that had lever backs – but I suspect the curve will be too small again – for my ‘thick ear lopes’. I dont want to send things back – too busy!!!
So please – next time – take that minute – just to show us how the earings close and open, and even if its a straight post – sometimes its too short!!! let us SEE!!
    Love ya!!

  4. Catherine Huntley February 9, 2009 at 1:08 pm -

    Hi Veronica,
Apologies and thank you for your feedback!
It’s always so useful for me to know what is helpful to people watching and, I must be honest, it hadn’t occurred to me that lobe width may have to be a consideration when buying earrings but I can clearly now see what you mean. Going forward I will show the profile and remember your request.
Honora jewellery is so beautiful, isn’t it? I sincerley hope the earrings are suitable for you. I’ll also pass on your feedback to our buyers as there may well be a great many people who have the same issues with leverback findings.
Many thanks for writing in, keep well & keep warm!
    Love Catherine x

I have already posted this comment but think I may have put it in the wrong place. Saw you with murano glass on monday 9 feb and love your new hair style. It suits you so well. I remember when you first started qvc and were a bit nervous and now you look as if you really belong there and have been there for always. You are one of my favourites.

  8. Catherine Huntley February 12, 2009 at 10:01 am -

    Hi Sheila,
Thanks so much for your comments. I’ve always loved what I do at QVC but one thing people may not realise (or believe because of the job I choose to do) is that I’m quite a shy person in situations until I fully relax and that can take a while. I used to get soooo nervous and, sometimes, the nerves still get the better of me and my words come out in a jumbled mess! I am a gemini so, in character traits, I’m a bag of contradictions! Shy one day, outgoing the next. Painfully self critical one minute and, the next, quite confident!
My other half calls these traits ‘simply complex’ which is, in itself, a bit of a juxtaposition!
Thanks for giving me a boost, Sheila, great to know you’re with me when I’m out there!
    Love Catherine x

Love your new presenters blog…….and adored seeing the premier of the new man in your life…albeit furry and fluffy!
Please keep on with the Craft Etc blog……the mass of addicted crafters out there really miss your comments and ideas.
Realise you are a busy soul…….but we really enjoy getting your emails!!!
Love from Hilary in Fair Oak xx

Hi catherine, I just wanted to say that you always bring a drop of glamour and personaklity to the screen and I find myself transfixed by your beauty; my only regret is that you appear to have a partner because with a 30 day guarantee I’m sure that we’d get on lol.. many thanks Geoffx

    Hi Catherine,
I too have once again entered the Race for Life, this will be my 3rd year.
There are so many people touched in some way by this disease. My mum died of cancer when I was 10 years old and I run in memory of her and other close family members who I have also lost to the disease.
It is a very worhtwhile cause and ask as many people to make a donatation to you. As you say, no matter how much or little you can give, every penny will make such a difference to so many.
    Good luck with your training!!
    Best Wishes
    Mags. xx

  13. Catherine Huntley March 23, 2009 at 6:14 pm -

    Dearest Mags,
Thanks for your message. I cannot even begin to think what it must have been like for you losing your mum and I’m so sorry for all of you. I’m sure you carry her close to your heart every day. I’m so pleased you are doing something so positive in memory of her and others you have lost.
I wish you much success with your fundraising and stamina on the day, too.
    Much love to you,
    Catherine x

    Hi Catherine,
Saw u yesterday on the 2hr crafting show. Loved your top, could u (if u are allowed!!) tell me where u bought it. It’s very on trend of course, being frills!! I loved the colour….it realy suited you!!
As one crafter to another(I love rubber stamping) I hope u can help.
    Thanks Claire x

  15. Catherine Huntley April 2, 2009 at 7:55 pm -

    Hi Claire,
Thanks for the compliment! The top is from Karen Millen, it is a beautiful deep green colour. Its frills emphasise the upper body, and so, have a slimming effect on the waist.
See you soon for more craft & other goodies!
    Love Catherine x

  16. Sylvia Beaumont April 4, 2009 at 11:04 am -

    Hi Catherine,
Saw you the other day and your nails look fab are they still your own as i remember you saying you had acrylics on and was going to let your own grow , they look great i have acrylics on and would like to go back to my own nails but they just break as they are so thin i have used opi nail envy to try and help but as they just break off i end up going back to acrylics. If they are your own they look great and if you have any advice for me that would be great.
By the way love the updates on your cats i have 4 and love them all they all have there own personalitys and such fun to watch the things they get up to even my 19 year old cat has his mad moments.
    Best wishes sylvia

  17. Catherine Huntley April 6, 2009 at 10:19 am -

    Hi Sylvia,
Great to hear from you, another cat fan, how lovely.
My nails are now my own. I persevered with OPI Nail Envy and it just suits my nails really well. I have also used Leighton Denny’s nail treatments before and found them to be great, too, perhaps it’s worth trying that or Pro Strong.
I am a qualified nail technician, myself, and my advice to you would be to keep them short whilst you are getting them into good condition. If there is a lot of damage/they are thin & bendy they may take a few months to regain strength. Keeping them more ‘square’ shaped will also help.
One of my all time best buys from QVC is Seche Vite top coat. It dries really fast, it seems to create an armour like shield over the nail (I usually use nail envy as a base, then 2 coats of Leighton’s natural white to camouflage any damaged areas and then a thick layer of seche vite) which protects the varnish but also seems to create a very hard coat which further protects the nail. Apply it super thick and it appears as though you’ve had gel nails applied. I wouldn’t be without it now.
Let me know how you get on, I hope this helps.
Love to you and the pusscats,
    Catherine x

  18. sylvia beaumont April 13, 2009 at 9:40 am -

  19. Vanessa Adams April 17, 2009 at 12:47 pm -

Hi Catherine, you are my favourite presenter and I watch all your shows if I can! I also have 2 cats, Sugar and Muffin, they are both 13. Muffin is very naughty and Sugar is very sweet! I am going to order the diamonique star pendant that you say you have yourself, as it is lovely and will go with so many of my clothes. Best wishes, Vanessa x

  20. Gillian O’Neill April 18, 2009 at 10:26 pm -

Hi Catherine, I read with interest your request for more info on the contraption to train cats to use the loo! You don’t need it. My cat Oscar amazed me last week by getting on the loo after me and having a wee wee just sitting on the seat like we do. They see us doing it and just copy. I didn’t encourage him – he just thought of it himself but I’m sure with a little encouragement any cat could to it. Will try to let you have a photograph. Would it be best to send a copy by post as I can’t seem to see how to e-mail you it personally. Much Love to you and your cats. xx Gillian, Darlington.

  21. Catherine Huntley April 28, 2009 at 2:13 pm -

Hi Vanessa, lovely to hear from you. Great kittycat names, by the way. I’d get hungry every time I called them! I hope you like your star pendant. I adore my diamonique and the collection keeps on growing.
Gillian, wow, that is amazing. I am green with envy…or am I green because of the stench of cat litter trays? I think I’ll need more persuasion as I have four cats but it’s all encouraging news..it can be done! You can email me at info@catherine-huntley.co.uk

  22. Sandra Fiddy May 1, 2009 at 11:31 pm -

Very disappointed if the large card kit is the TSV on 3rd May. Well at least I won’t be buying it. I Was hoping it would have been the rounder from W R Memory Keepers.

  23. Anne Pemberton May 3, 2009 at 7:27 pm -

    Hi Catherine
I’m a bit dissapointed in the Craft Day TSV, fed up with these large cards that are crafting by numbers and cost a fortune if you need to post them. But on a good note do like the Patchwork Pals kit, they are similar to the ‘Flippin men & women & kids’ decoupage sheets.
Please could we have more craft items for Men’s cards.
    Anne Pemberton

  24. Catherine Huntley May 5, 2009 at 11:48 pm -

    Hi Sandra,
Nice to hear from afellow ‘we r memory keepers’ fan. I do love their stuff and have to admit to not having heard of the ’rounder’. Off to google it now! Sorry the tsv wasn’t your cuppa tea this time around. Craft is a very personal thing, isn’t it? One crafter’s heaven is another’s hell but hopefully we had some bits & pieces that appealed to you on craft day. Thanks for watching.
    All the best,
    Catherine x

  25. Catherine Huntley May 5, 2009 at 11:52 pm -

    Hi Anne,
Thanks for your feedback, sorry to hear the tsv didn’t float your boat this time but really pleased the patchwork pals impressed. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that kind of thing with the front & back detail. So cute.
I will pass your comments on to our buyers. I’d love to see some more mens themed kits, too, and maybe a few more pet themed kits. They always go so quick.
    Happy crafting, Anne.
    Love Catherine x

  26. Fi young May 6, 2009 at 4:48 pm -

Really liked the patchwork pals and am waiting for mine to arrive Can you please suggest to the buyers that some unmountedstamps of the same design would go down really well I am a member of craft forum and several members would love to see some patchwork pal stamps

Wishing you all the luck in your race for life! I too have had breast cancer (diagnosed March 2008) and have now finished my treatment and have my own hair back! I would like to thank you and all the runners because you do make such a difference

  28. Sue Tucker May 6, 2009 at 6:41 pm -

Just wanted to say that IMO i feel quite let down by QVC. Not only did we have to suffer yet another Kanban card TSV but also imo a poor Craft day in general. I understand that there is a market for Kanban kits, but do we have to have so many?
This was a prime time being NSB day/weekend to have given the scrappers out a TSV. QVC should read sites like UKS and UK Craft forum to see what it is we want.

  29. karen atkinson May 7, 2009 at 4:59 pm -

not another Kanban TSV!is this all that qvc can come up with?I thought such a fab compoany could be a bit more original with their TSVS.Scrapbookers havnet had anything for such a long time i think we are all forgotten -look how well all the kits sell when on the odd occasion Rosmeary is on and as for Brenda Pinnick,Anna Griffin and all the other American crafters, lets have more of them please.all such great products and sell outs too.come on lets get what we want please….

  30. julie owen May 7, 2009 at 5:55 pm -

    Hi Catherine
Really like tha craft shows but getting so fed up with kanban, and the kit`s you just peel and stick no imagination needed.

  31. karen atkinson May 8, 2009 at 3:45 pm -

so disappointed with the TSV more Kanban.Whar about us scrapbookers?every time there is a scrapbook hour minute or second its sell out!rosemary merry isnt on enough just the same old people all the time so boring…

  32. Pauline Baines May 11, 2009 at 1:56 pm -

Hi Catherine – just a note re Craft Day. I DID thoroughly enjoy it and did buy the TSV, Patchwork Pals & other goodies.
BUT – on another note – why has Craft Day turned into Papercraft day. I remember in years gone by, we had Cross Stitch, Machine embroidery (I purchased my first Brother Disney embroidery machine as a TSV on Craft Day), Donna Dewberry and Carole Smith with the feltcraft.
While I absolutely adore cardmaking and am now an avid fan, I wouldn’t mind seeing other crafts during a day totalaly devoted to craft.
    Yours – Pauline

  33. Pauline Baines May 11, 2009 at 2:01 pm -

    Hi Catherine.
Just a note re Craft Day. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and after a bit of thinking, bought the TSV on auto delivery, the Patchwork Pals and other goodies.
BUT – on a more critical note – why has Craft Day turned into “Papercraft Day”??? I remember years ago we had cross stitch, machine embroidery (I bought my first Brother Disney embroidery machine as a TSV on Craft Day), Donna Dewberry and Carole Smith and feltcraft. The Christmas felt kits were to die for.
Although I love papercraft and am an avid fan, I wouldn’t mind seeing other crafts as well, or don’t they sell as well?
    All the best

  34. Margaret Quinn May 14, 2009 at 5:35 pm -

    Hi Catherine,
I’m looking forward to the next craft TSV and hoping….really hoping…. that it’s something other than a Kanban Kit. Although I like some of their stuff – the Patchwork Pals looks lovely – I’m starting to long for something fresh and different in the craft line! Margaret

  35. Catherine Huntley May 15, 2009 at 11:10 am -

    Hi all,
Thanks again for your comments, like I have said in the other section (Craft Day Blog) your comments have all been passed on to our buyers.
Just a reminder (in case you hadn’t seen my replies in the other blog entry) to be respectfully mindful of people who do enjoy the kanban kits when making your comments. We do appreciate both positive & constructive feedback but we don’t want any fellow crafters upset or offended by criticism which appears to be a bit more harsh about kits they like.
Thanks again for the feedback, it’s you that have made us an award winning channel for craft by choosing to shop with us and I want you to be assured we do listen to our customers and try to cater for everyone so watch this space..not this one, the one on your telly, actually!
    Much love & happy crafting!

I’m sorry I missed your comment about race for life, just found it now. I hope your positive attitude is carrying you forward each day.
There’s a nice little group of us doing the Race For Life. I’m sure it will be a huge rollercoaster of emotions but I hope the most prevalent will be hope and positivity for the future. Amazing what can be done when people set their minds to it.
    Big love,
By the way if anyone wants to sponsor me just go to the race for life website (google it) and search for ‘people you know’ and type in my name. I’m ‘racing’ in memory of Marcelle who recently lost her battle with cancer and whose daughter will be racing with us, too. Please help if you can..no matter how small, it counts.

  37. Gill May 16, 2009 at 5:07 pm -

Hi Catherine, Just been reading your latest blog,I too am a recent convert to Easiyo, I just love it. It’s so much nicer than “shop” yoghurt. I always add fresh friut to my (not too small) dish, matching flavours.
I only have one complaint about it. I can’t stop eating it
    Regards Gill.

  38. Liz Smith May 30, 2009 at 3:59 pm -

    Hi Catherine
I was listening to your show today 2:00-3:00 with the Aquamarine whilst ironing and I realised that, I think…you were hinting rather a large hint about the ladies you would have as bridesmaids…..was Steve in earshot I wonder….well, I make exquisite tiaras and bridal jewellery and would be really honoured to make you something for your special day – if I’m barking up the right tree….!!
    Kindest regards

    Hi Catherine,
I was watching your show yesterday with Alison and you mentioned a diet you were on and had lost 12lb how fab! can you tell me what it is? I love your hair. I’m brunette and want to have blond highlights, but I’d been too scared to do it. I’m worried that they get the colour wrong and ruin my hair. You hair looks in great condition, would you be able to tell me were you go to get it done? I would love to surprise my husband. I’m in my 40th year and feel the change would allow me to reinvent myself.
    Kind Regards
    Louise xx

  42. Catherine Huntley July 20, 2009 at 10:40 am -

    Hi all!
Sometimes I miss your comments in this section. Apologies!
The new diet will be revealed on Monday 24th August. I’ll be there at midnight on the sunday (complete with before & after shots) to tell you all about it. I’m not allowed to say too much more til then except that it has worked for me and many others in the office. Dawn Bibby is using it, too, and had a great loss in just one week, also!
Keep tuning in. I can’t wait to show it to you.
    Love Catherine x

    Hi Catherine
I’m waiting impatiently for you to blog about the Lulu Guinness TSV! What’s it going to be? Give us a clue. I’m driving myself mad wondering about it. It’s like the advert for the Disneyland advert – I can’t sleep I’m so excited!
Looking forward to the show (and to seeing what you’re wearing!)

  45. Annie August 9, 2009 at 8:00 pm -

    Hi Catherine
We have much in common it seems, I have cats and I love classic films. You have mentioned some of my favourite stars when you have been on air Jayne Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe and Marlene Dietrich. I have two cats, one lives with me and she is an indoor cat. The other lives with my parents, their names are Melanie and Honey, Melanie is 11 and Honey is 5. I wondered what you favourite classic star is and what your favourite classic movie is? I’d love to see QVC do a range of jewellery inspired by the golden age of Hollywood.
    Annie x

  46. Catherine Huntley August 11, 2009 at 9:50 pm -

Hi Annie (that’s my sister’s name, too)
Thanks for your lovely message. It does sound like we’re peas in a pod with our love of old Hollywood & cats.
Hmmm, hard to think on which is my favourite classic star & movie. Jayne Mansfield & Marilyn come pretty high up the list. I love the film ‘The Prince and the Showgirl’ with Marilyn Monroe and Lawrence Olivier but there’s no way I can choose a favourite. So so many! I love ‘Rear Window’. Great movie and wowser what great clothes!
We did have a range called ‘The Hollywood Collection’ which was based on the designs of Hollywood film stars but I haven’t seen it for a while. I bought one myself..I can’t think of the name of the star whose ring it was modelled on but it’s beautiful. I’ll go and chat to our buyers and see whether we still have it or will in future.
Lovely to hear from you. I had a down moment earlier and you’ve cheered me right up!

  47. Lyn Inett September 3, 2009 at 10:41 am -

    Hi Catherine,
I know you haven’t asked for our opinions on your latest hair colour, but I’m giving you mine anyway….LOL
I think the almost Platinum Blonde with darker roots looks, well…..awful!
You have such beautiful hair normally, it was a real shock to see you earlier this week, as this colour combination made your hair look in very poor condition.
I love you with brown or “natural” blonde coloured hair – so pretty and in beautiful condition.
I hope I haven’t offended you, especially as you are one of my favourite presenters, I just wanted to give you my honest feedback.
    Kindest regards,
    Lyn xxx

  48. DENISE September 30, 2009 at 8:16 am -

    Hi Catherine,
You were on my train this morning… I was too shy to say hello to you – but i must say you are so pretty….
If i see you again ill say hello to you 🙂
I loved your cardi that you were wearing – is that from QVC.

  49. Catherine Huntley October 1, 2009 at 9:59 pm -

    Hi Lyn,
Thanks for your feedback on my hair. Seeing as I’m one of your faves you certainly haven’t offended me. I didn’t notice there were any more comments on here otherwise I’d have replied sooner.
I agree about roots..a nightmare they are, too! I also agree that it got very light so I asked the hairdresser to warm it up with some honey and caramel. I like it better like this.
I hope you are keeping well.
    Lots of love,
    Catherine x

  50. Catherine Huntley October 1, 2009 at 10:09 pm -

    Hi Denise!
What a lovely message. Please do say hi next time. It would have made my day and tickled me pink.
I’m thinking that was a day when I very naughtily had a Mc D’s breakfast..hope I wasn’t making too much of a greedy fool of myself, hee hee!
I’m sure I didn’t look pretty…it was quite early and I usally take a few hours to look human these days!
Don’t be shy next time, Denise. I’d love to have a little natter with you anytime.
    Love Catherine x
PS – My cardi was actually a real cheapy I picked up in London when I was out with my daughter. I got chilly and didn’t want to spend a lot so got it in a sale for abot £15! It was one of those bargain shops in the ‘less posh’ end of Oxford Street. Falling apart a bit now but it’s cozy!

  51. DENISE October 2, 2009 at 11:04 am -

    Hi Catherine,
I promise i will say hi the next time i see you – if i see you again – i get off at battersea park too and i thought i bet if that lady gets off there it must be catherine – although i was 100% sure it was..
I didnt see you having the sneaky mcccy d’s for your breakfast but i dont blame you – plus you are tiny so you can treat yourself to that once in a while….
Take care Catherine and have a nice weekend…
I like those long look cardigans – marks and spencers have a few at the moment and i might get one… Its nice to wrap up warm as you can just wrap them around you …

  52. Marianne Caffrey October 21, 2009 at 12:47 pm -

    Hi Catherine,
As a regular watcher and shopper with QVC, I just wanted to add that I love your new hair style. I think it really suits you. I am very interested in going for the hair extensions but am confused about whether to go for real hair or the next to natural. I think I know what colours I need. If you have any advice I would be grateful. You are a great presenter by the way and I always enjoy watching your shows. You may think you are sometimes a little nervous but I just think that often makes it easier for some of us to relate to you and make you more real to us. Anyway, any hair extension tips gratefully received and keep up the good work.
    Kindest regards, Marianne

    Hello Catherine,
I have to say, I always enjoy the shows you present as you always come across as very up beat and happy. The morning show with Anthony was great and I think QVC should team you two up together more often.
I wanted to put forward a suggestion – On Christmas Days in the past, you have either re run Christmas Eve shows or left a pre-recorded message which runs back to back. I think it would be great to do a QVC Pantomime especially if it is a modern day version or merges a few of the regular tales! Jennifer Kirk would have to be the Fairy Godmother and I can almost see Anthony Heywood as Buttons too. With so many options of both good and evil parts across all the different stories, I am sure that something like this would be great and would allow the presenters to do something a bit different.
It would be a great seasonal method to advertise the products in a different way to normal and there could be a link on the web detailing the products featured.
I think it would be a thigh slapping, rib tickling way of entertaining the regular customers and I am sure it would be a joy to film as well as watch.
What QVC panto character would you like to be cast as?

    Hi Marianne,
Thank you for writing in. Apologies for the late reply…I really appreciate your kind comments about my hair. I’m really loving my extensions.
Now, with regard to your wanting advice I would say there’s a few considerations. Extensions like mine are ‘bonded’ to your hair and can last for up to 3 or 4 months when maintained correctly. Some pluses for me are that they can be matched in a salon and ‘blended in’ professionally and as they are human hair they can be treated exactly as your real hair can be. I wouldn’t recommend them if you aren’t one for managing high maintenance hair but if you don’t mind taking a bit of extra time and care I think they’re totally worth it. Of course there’s also the cost..a few hundred pounds.
The clip in ‘next to natural’ extensions are more versatile as you can take them out when you sleep/shower/etc and the main thing is they are far more affordable. Also you don’t have to style them as you just take them out and they’re already styled for next time. Obviously you don’t get a custom colour match but they’re pretty good if you style them well and look great, too.
All in all I suppose it’s ‘horses for courses’. My advice is to try the ‘faux’ hair with QVC first as it’s the more affordable option and a great way to see if you like the look without making a larger financial (and maintenance) commitment. If you then decide you want to take it to the next and more customised level then go for it. Please let me know how you get on, I’d love to hear from you and I hope that helps.
    Lots of love,
    Catherine x

  55. Catherine Huntley October 29, 2009 at 7:11 pm -

    Hi Tracey,
Lovely to read your post. Anthony is great to work with, we’ve always got on well. Maybe it’s because we’re both very young at heart.
I loved your comments about a QVC Pantomime. I think it is truly brilliant. I remember discussing this concept with Julia Roberts before, funnily enough, and she said she had suggested it but it hadn’t been possible for whatever reason. Perhaps I should have another word. If it comes to anything I will certainly post it on my blog so watch this space!
Which character would I like to be cast as? Well, on days where I’m feeling a bit shy and unsure maybe the back end of the panto horse! Really though it has to be Cinderella. I would adore the costumes and I’d also feel that the character is symbolic of me and my QVC journey..I often call it a Cinderella story as I was working all hours as a dental nurse and then the job with QVC kind of found me! Magical.
Oh I would sooooo love to do this! Thanks again for your wonderful comments.
    Love Catherine x

    Hi Catherine!
I’m a ‘Dyson’ maniac as well. Ha ha… it was my ‘top’ Christmas present last year. Although, I kind of guessed what it was under the tree.
Just had to tell you how lovely you and Steve look in the photo. Wish I had someone to take me for a walk in the lovely Welsh countryside.
Hope you all have a fab Christmas
    Lots of love
    Jenny May xxxxx

  57. Catherine Huntley November 18, 2009 at 9:25 am -

    Hi Jenny May (lovely name)
Nice to hear from a fellow Dyson fan..funny how enthused one can get over a vaccuum cleaner really, isn’t it? It’s so great, though!!
Nice of you to comment on the piccy of me & Steve. It is truly gorgeous countryside. I can’t wait to get back to Wales again to enjoy the peace and vastness of it all. It’s kind of like returning to nature..no building sites and concrete jungles. Just nature at it’s most beautiful best.
Wishing you a wonderful Christmas, too.
    Much love,
    Catherine x

  58. Kelly Richardson November 20, 2009 at 8:28 am -

I’m currently watching your hour with LuLu Guiness and your hair looks gorgeous. You have it in a messy bun on the side. PLEASE can you tell me if it’s a hairpiece or not? If it is, do you sell them on QVC and which one is it?
My Mum gets married next year and how you are wearing your hair today is exactly how I want my hair on the day!!!
If you could let me know that would be fantastic.
    Thanks very much

  59. Catherine Huntley November 20, 2009 at 9:45 am -

    Hi Kelly,
Thanks for your lovely message. It is indeed a hairpiece. We only launched the Ken Paves Hairdo range this week and this is one of the most affordable ones and so easy to put in.
The item number is 432770 and it’s priced at £16.75. Some of the colours sold out but it may be worth phoning 0800 51 41 31 (customer services) to see if they can put it on ‘waitlist’ for you so you’ll be first to know when it’s back.
I’d love to see a piccy if you do decide to go for it and wear it on your mum’s special day. I know it’s a long way off but my email is info@catherine-huntley.com if you want to.
I wish your mum all the best for her day and I hope you like the hairpiece. Just form a side ponytail and then wrap the ‘style a do’ around twice. It’s on a band like a hair bobble.
    Lots of love,
    Catherine x

  60. Maria Madalena Pires November 21, 2009 at 2:49 pm -

    “Minas Gerais” at last!
Well done, Catherine! That is exactly the right way to pronounce it! And for the first time on TV, too! I’ve heard it countless times pronounced in the most bizarre ways! God bless you! Even the stones look better! lol

  61. Catherine Huntley November 22, 2009 at 9:51 am -

    Hello Maria!
What a beautiful name ‘Maria Madalena’. So pretty. Maybe I am biased as my daughter is named Christina but she was very close to being called Madeleine.
I just wanted to thank you for your message. I love languages and, although I’m rubbish at many things..maths being a prime example, I do seem to have an instinctive ability for language and pronounciation so you have truly made my day by saying I said Minas Gerais correctly!
Funny story..I lived in Greece for a while and quickly picked up the language. My mum came to visit me and on her last day I shared a taxi with her to drop me at work and then take her on to the airport. During the whole journey I spoke English and when I was getting out I asked the taxi driver in English how much I needed to pay him to then take mum and he gave me a ridiculously high price so I said to him in Greek in a near perfect accent ‘I think you have made a mistake. I am not a tourist. I live here. Now please give me the correct price’. You should have seen his face..he then apologised and proceeded to give me a discount!!!
Right, it’s beauty day and I need to get my backside in gear now as I’m on later!
    Much love (felicitas?)

  63. Catherine Huntley November 25, 2009 at 10:16 am -

Thanks so much for your kind comment about the hairpieces show. I was absolutely in my element! I must have a whole wardrobe of hair by now..all different colours from when I was darker, too.
I can’t wait til the next time Ken is back with us. I just enjoy my job more and more with each passing year, that really is the truth!
    Have a great Christmas.

HI catherine – just seen you on the Sunday 6th Dec diamonique and kipling shows and you were wearing a fab pink dress. where is it from or what is the make? thanks

  67. Catherine Huntley December 7, 2009 at 10:28 am -

    Hi Rachael,
Thanks for the compliment on the dress. I actually got it in New York (in a sale for about £30) a couple of years ago. It’s ‘Kenneth Cole’ so maybe google and see if there’s anything similar that comes up. If they’d have had more than one I’d have bought more as I adore it. Very slimming.
    Have a very happy Christmas.
    Lots of love,

    Hi Catherine,
I just wanted to compliment and congratulate you on the way you presented the Athena Pelvic Floor Muscle Exerciser this morning (Wednesday 16th December) ~ I thought you maintained a sensitive and composed professional manner throughout the presentation of a product, which for some presenters would have been awkward and/or embarassing. Well done. You and Julia Roberts are my two favourite presenters!

  69. Catherine Huntley December 16, 2009 at 12:30 pm -

    Hi Lyn,
Thank you so much for commenting on this. Really kind of you to take the time to do so.
I really do think it’s wonderful that we can offer something like this to people who may have been suffering in silence for fears of having to tell someone in order to find a solution.
I would think (having given birth to two children and speaking from experience) that most women will have experienced issues to lesser or greater degrees and I just hope it brings some relief to what can be an utterly distressing condition.
Thank you again and I hope you have a truly magical Christmas.
    Lots of love,
    Catherine x

    Hello Marian,
Thank you for your message..and for sending in a Christmas card. I must be honest and say that I have been blessed with hundreds of them this year so I’m not sure without going through them again of which one was from you but huge thanks again, very kind of you.
Your Casper sounds a little cheeky livewire like mine! I hope your tree is still standing by Christmas day. It’s always great to hear from a fellow cat crazy friend, I just adore them like it sounds you do.
I wish you & yours a wonderful Christmas.

Thanks so much for your lovely comment about my hair. I just decided to go for it…out with the old (and frazzled!) and in with the new for the new year! Nice to have a vote of confidence on the new style.

Hi Catherine, Sounds like you had a wonderful time in Bruges. I adore that place and the pictures show how magical it must have been at this Festive time. I’ve only been in the summer months but your description has whetted my appetite to go myself next Christmas.
Thanks for sharing it with us and Happy Christmas.

  75. Catherine Huntley December 22, 2009 at 9:54 pm -

    Hi Denise,
Oh it was so wonderful. I highly recommend it and would definately go again.
It was rather chilly but the Gluwein helped to warm us and there was lots of nipping in to chocolate shops which helped too!
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and thank you for writing in.

  76. Tony December 23, 2009 at 9:41 pm -

Hi Catherine, Saw your diamonique show today (Wed 23/12) and can only say one word – WOW! (and I don’t mean the products). You looked stunning with your blonde hair and that black silk? dress. I would go so far as to say “Regal”. Don’t ever change your hair back to dark brown/black.

  77. Catherine Huntley December 24, 2009 at 10:27 am -

    Hi Tony,
Well, what can I say? What a very kind compliment, thank you.

    Hello Katherine
Can I, through you say a very big thank you for bringing QVC into the 20th century. with the addition of crafting cds, QVC has been left behind in the crafting world, for several years now and seems to be aimed at begininers, with Kanban kits, and stickers, so its great to see some up-to-date products, More please..

    Hi Isabel,
Thanks for your message. Really glad to hear you’re enjoying some of our new offerings.

  80. Hayberry December 31, 2009 at 1:34 pm -

I love what your other half did about your heart ring Xmas pressie, so thoughtful! And how you saw the positive in the fact that it sold out – it gave your other half the opportunity to show his thoughtfulness! And that is what makes a lovely gift even more special. This Xmas most of the things I received from my other half were (all from QVC!) chosen and ordered by me…wrapped by him. Which means I got what I wanted, however he did get me a couple of surprises and in particular what stood out was an old film from my childhood. Do you remember The Layrinth, with David Bowie? One of my first cinema trips as a child, and always reminded me of Xmas for some reason. Other half heard me going on about how they don’t show it on TV nowadays and so I was so surprised and delighted to get the DVD as a gift from him…it’s the litthe things that we appreciate and treasure 🙂

  81. Denise December 31, 2009 at 8:13 pm -

Hi Catherine – wow what a lovely thoughtful man you have there. You’re a lucky girl and I love that ring. I had lovely pressies too – including theatre tickets, beauty treatment vouchers, pyjamas and lots more. However one of my favourite presents was from my hubby. I’d seen some really unusual scarves in a local shop. Took him in to show him a few weeks ago and then in all the mad Christmas rush I’d forgotten all about it. What a surprise I got when I opened it on Christmas Day! What a treasure he is!!!
Happy New Year to you and all at QVC.

  82. Catherine Huntley January 1, 2010 at 5:43 pm -

    Hi Hayberry,
Sounds like you are a girl after my own heart in many ways!
I am aware of the film you mentioned but I’ve never seen it, myself. I’ll put it on my ‘to watch’ list. I do like David Bowie..he was particularly good in ‘Extras’ with Ricky Gervais! Very funny.
The thoughtful things in life do indeed mean so much and I’m so happy you have had a great Christmas with lots of love.
    Love Catherine x

  83. Catherine Huntley January 1, 2010 at 5:45 pm -

    Hi Denise,
Wow, your Christmas treats sound gorgeous..lots to look forward to for you.
How sweet they can be noticing those little things we say and then forget all about. Sounds like you picked yourself a real gem of a man, yourself!
Happy new year to you both,
    Love Catherine x

  85. Catherine Huntley January 3, 2010 at 12:24 pm -

    Hi Elisia,
I’m so sorry I don’t have the item numbers as they have sold out at the moment. Just keep checking back or phone through to Liverpool on 0800 51 41 31 which is our dedicated customer services line. They may have more info and perhaps could offer our ‘waitlist’ facility..unless the quantity of waitlist stock has already sold out.
Good luck, I hope you do get yours soon. They are incredibly beautiful.
    Happy new year,
    Love Catherine x

  86. sue January 3, 2010 at 9:06 pm -

    Hi Catherine
I’ve ordered the TSV today and have gone for the auto delivery so I too will be going to start next Monday (if the postmen are quick with delivery)and will let you know how I get on. This is my first time with Diet Chef and I hope that they kick start a more healthier 2010. I too am a crafter and my partner bought me the sizzix sidekick & the texture boutique for Christmas so I’ve been having fun experimenting with them. I also have a cat (Ollie) who’s 3 and he loves to lie across my papers, equip etc whenever I start crafting rather than his comfy cushion. My eldest cat Midge died in March 09 but he was 17 years old. I will look at your craft blog re the info for sending cards to the cat protection league.

  87. Catherine Huntley January 4, 2010 at 2:31 pm -

    Hello Sue,
Lovely to hear from you and so glad to know I have a ‘diet buddy’ already! Remember to look at the diet chef forum. If you click on diet chef on the qvc homepage you can find it by clicking on the ‘more about diet chef’ link.
What a lovely other half you have buying those lovely crafty goodies! So nice to have crafting during these freezing cold times when we’re stuck indoors more.
Ollie sounds very cute, aren’t they funny? They just have to be involved in everything we do!
Sad to hear about Midge…even though he lived to very decent age I’m sure it can’t make it any easier to say goodbye. They are family members after all.
With regard to the cats protection league I have been inundated with cards which I then send on to a lady who helps run a particular branch of CPL. I have a massive box I need to send to her again. I’m thinking as I have had so much generosity for this indiviual branch maybe it’d be nice if you look for your nearest branch and send them directly or even another animal charity. I’ve been toying with the idea of making some for the Battersea Cats and Dogs home as they are QVC’s neighbours and we are raising money for them ‘in house’ at QVC this year.
I look forward to chatting with you more on my diet chef blog once I have that ready so do look out for it, coming soon!
Lots of love to you & yours,
    Catherine x

I hope you get to see this message as I’m very late writing it! Apologies!
The dress I think you mean is from a little boutique called juice. I have seen lots of them around in Brighton and London.
I hope that helps and maybe you’ve already found yours by now.

    Hi Sam,
Thanks for your kind comments about my dress. I’m afraid it was from a little shop but I forget where. It wasn’t a chain store but more of a little one off kind of place. Really sorry for taking so long to get back to you but especially for not being able to help!
It was a long time ago so I doubt they’d still be about..sorry again!

  103. Catherine Huntley October 18, 2010 at 5:14 pm -

    Hi Rachel,
Unfortunately I’m not sure now as it was a good couple of years ago, at least, and not a known brand. It was just a kind of cheapish one off shop.
Sorry for being no help whatsoever!

Also….I was watching you on the morning of Wednesday 16 February and absolutely fell in love with the purple top you were wearing…it had elbow-length sleeves and a gorgeous print scarf finish to the front….PLEASE tell me which brand this is! I do hope it’s a QVC one!

    Hi Catherine
I just wanted to say how fabulous you look at the moment. You’re one of the best presenters on QVC and always beautiful and smiling!
Is your leather skirt going to make an appearance again soon?
    Love Matt

Dear Catherine, you are so sweet and my mum and I find you such a pleasure to watch. Your unique, gentle fun manner is never boring . Can I please ask where you got your gorgeous red dress from? You were wearing it on the spanx show Saturday 12 March, you looked amazing. Tracy and Sheila.

    Hi Catherine
I was watching the lulu bag launch on monday night and absolutely adored the blue dress you had on. Can you please tell me where you got it from, is it available on QVC??
Also, i have seen recent clips of you wearing leather trousers and you look stunning in them. Where do you buy you leather trousers from? I’m currently looking for a pair and adored the pair you had on – fantastic leg cut! Howcome you don’t wear leather on tv anymore, are they going out of fashion??
    Keep up the great work!

    Hi Catherine,
I’ve been watching QVC for several years and have never felt the need to text/email or leave comments but I do have to comment on the recent changes in your appearance, the new hair and sheer myriad of colours you’re now wearing are stunning, suit you down to a tea, in fact I’ve called customer services a few times to find out where the dresses you’ve been wearing are from as we are of similar colouring and build but alas they are your own! you seem to have the same or similar dress in various colours and they are simply stunning on you (if you are permitted to tell me where they’re from I’d be grateful!). Anyhoo, you are an inspiration to a girl who has 4 rescued German Shepherds and therefore lives in dull joggies and fleeces and I may just have to take my lead from you and colour it up! Good for you.
    Love Susan

    Hi Catherine,
I have never posted/or commented on a qvc presenter blog before so I am so sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place!!!!!
I have just been watching some of the Early Bird Chritmas Crafting Show (products are Fab by the way) and I was just wondering if the GORGEOUS dress you were wearing (a lovely bright orangey colour) ia available on QVC?
I absolutely love it and it would be perfect for an up and coming family party I will be attending.
I look forward to hearing from you soon hopefully.
    Kindest Regards

Hi Catherine absolutely love your hair extensions they look great!!

  122. sylvia October 27, 2011 at 2:35 pm -

Sorry, Catherine, but your hair is dreadful!
It doesn’t suit you at all and is much too young for you.
Your “bob”was so much more flattering.

    Hi Catherine,
Watched one of your shows the other day and you were wearing a green print dress. Just wondered whether it was a Tiana B or Ronni Nicole QVC one? If so would you happen to have the item no? It looked gorgeous.

Hi Catherine, and a very belated Happy New Year! I was just wondering if QVC are going to phase out their Craft Shows altogether? Both my favourite Craft brands have completely disappeared! Tim Holtz and Kanban and I noticed that Create and Craft are now stocking both Brands! I Can’t understand why QVC have just seemed to let these brands go seemingly without a fight. I would never defect to Create and Craft, most of the presenters are RUBBISH except Noami and the Call Centre is appallng. Please Catherine will you appeal to the powers that be not to give up on Crafting and poach back Kanban!!!
    Lots of Love,

Hi Catherine…I love the pink dress you wear quite regularly. Is it available to purchase via QVC. It’s the one with little rectangles of pink and taupe. It’s beautiful. Thank you.

    Hi Catherine
I love your calm and friendly presenting skills and can make for very easy viewing. I feel really at ease with whatever product you are describing/presenting. The same cannot be said of some presenters on QVC who cannot stop talking over everyone and know it all. It gets so irritating and I#ve never known you to do that.
    So thank you so much!
