If you enjoyed the Diamonique Special Editions show we débuted back in March, we’ve got some good news. We’ve got another one at 11pm this Sunday! And just like last time, the show will features pieces we unearthed especially for QVC shoppers at a very exciting trade show.
This time we sent our buyers Stateside to the home of 21st century American glamour, Las Vegas!
JCK (Jeweller’s Circular Keyston – a jewellery trade publication) Las Vegas happens every June, and is the biggest jewellery affair in North America. This year was the first time the Diamonique team attended the fair, and they discovered so many exciting pieces and next-seasonal trends that they’re already making plans to go again in 2016 (they don’t seem too upset at the possibility – we can’t imagine why!).
As you can see from some of the snaps our buyers took at the fair, there was jewellery and glamour everywhere you looked.
When we got down to the nitty gritty, three key trends were in evidence:
Earrings! Irregular styles have been trending strongly all year, with front-and-back, unmatched, cuff climber and jacket styles all on display at the fair. Newer, more experimental versions with different plating and finishes were the big news.
Among the pieces we’ve picked up are these wing-like ear climbers…
And these delicate marquise stone ear jackets…
‘Nearly there’ rings, which don’t come full circle. These were absolutely everywhere. In the show on Sunday we’ve got a floral two-finger ring interpretation and a three-bar version with that extremely on-trend geometric attitude.
Y necklaces are coming back. These necklaces tend to take centre stage, becoming the centrepiece of an outfit and elevating the more simple pieces in your wardrobe. They’re great for highlighting the décolletage and elongating your neck. Wear this bezel-set station necklace with an open collar shirt or plunging necklines in the evening.
Keep your eyes peeled for these designs and loads more on Sunday 23rd August at 11pm on QVC!
