For unbalanced skin with breakouts, dry patches and oiliness…

Judith Williams Phytomineral Skin Essentials Collection Q: I'm 24-years-old and for the past 5 years have had nothing but problems with my skin since having my 3 children. I have no idea what skin type I am, so I never know where to start. I have really dehydrated skin with fine lines on my forehead and cheeks and I suffer with oiliness.

But I also have dry patches around my nose, I suffer with breakouts and have some scarring. It's just so dull and horrid. I've started using Elemis which I'm noticing a difference with, but would really like to know exactly what products I should be using on my confused skin.

Alison: To me, your skin's crying out for our Judith Williams Phytomineral range.

As you've said you have three children and you're only 24 so you must be quite exhausted! Running around after little kids is very tiring. You've described to me a stressed and exhausted skin type, which is why it's coming up unbalanced and why you're having difficulties with it.

I would recommend using the Cleansing Milk, Facial Serum and an All-in-One Day and Night Cream, which you can apply to your face, neck and eyes. It's simple, quick and effective so I think it would be perfect for you and your daily routine. It should also give your skin back its healthy-looking rosy glow.

Also, when you have time, it would really make a difference if you used a good exfoliant and cleanser in the shower and one which is quick and easy is Micro Cleanse from Alpha-H. It should help with your dry skin and blackheads plus, you can apply it while your conditioner is on in the shower – easy! It should also help your skin look fresh and bright again.

Hi alison, I am 24 and have been using liz earle skincare for a number of years, which i am pleased with. However i do scar quite easily on my skin around the jaw and chin area of my face. My skin i would say is dehydrated and combination with ocassional breakouts. What regime could i use that would balance but also help with my scaring?
    thank you

    Hi Alison,
I have an oily T-zone – especially oily on my forehead. I’m 35, and the rest of my skin seems ok with no dry patches (occasional spots on temples & chin).
I’m using Decleor/Elemis anti oil moisturiser, GH Eye lift (which I like), LE Toner, and SBC Collagen on my neck.
I like to use a skin wash, and am currently using Elemis Tri-enzyme.
I occasionally use an Elemis Fruit active mask.
Am I doing anything wrong, and is there any other moisturiser/toner/wash that I could use to reduce oilyness as this is my main concern.
    Thankyou.

    Hi alison,
I am 27 yr old female and carribean. I have just been told i have polycstic ovaries and that my hormone levels are low and even though I am on tablets for my hormones, my skin is in horrible condition. I have tried alsorts for my skin and although I find it hard to know what skin type I have I only go with how it looks and feels so I hope this helps. I tend to get red patches on my forehead and nose and also I am a little dry with little red lines and can get quite irritated around my nose too. I get alot outbreaks and I have been told with my condition I am prone to acne and even though I dont suffer with severe acne, I tend toget it on my cheeks along some blackheads and that they are scarring and will not seem to go away. My skin also looks washed out and tired and grey looking. I have very dark circles and my eye look very tired and look dehydrated. I wouldnt say I have I suffer wrinkle, just a few line on my forehead. I have tried sooo many products in the past and I did notice that I do get irritated quite easily to products so I also feel limited to what I can use. I also find that most moisturisers tend to leave me looking shiny. I have tried alpha h exfoliant and find them a little strong for me. Please help as its getting me down.
    Thank you
    K x

I posted a request before, but, forget to mention, that on my upper eyelids they are really dark, I use concealer, which is good coverage, but just wondered if you could recommend any products for that, thanks

    Dear Allison,
I’m 25 and my skin is absolutely horrendous! I’ve had acne since I was about 11, however in the past two years it had calmed down a bit.
I was pleased not to have as many spots – but still had lots of blackheads. A friend suggested trying liz earle to clear out the pores. My skin is ten times worse now! I have angry red spots – particularly on my chin. I have stopped using the Liz Earle and am trying medicated acne products – which do get rid of the spots – but don’t prevent new ones appearing.
Can you help – I feel like I’ve spent half my life trying acne treatments!
