Hi all. I hope you're enjoying some spring sunshine. Still a little chilly for my liking, but it's nice to see the sun hasn't gone AWOL.
I wanted to share with you an exciting new brand, Artistic Britain, who are premiering their range of art on QVC this Friday at 3pm.
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to meet with the company's founder, Barry Minal. Barry's wife is an artist and has seen the challenges she has faced with getting wider exposure for her work, which gave him an idea – he realised there must be a mass of undiscovered artists out there facing the same issue. This led him to begin searching them out and showcasing their work under the umbrella of 'Artistic Britain'.
On Friday we will be meeting some of the artists and watching them at work live on the show. I find this very exciting indeed! The artists always provide an accompanying letter with their art to make it extra special. It really allows the collector to have more of a relationship with the artist.
The works that are premiering on Friday's show are all made just for QVC which adds that extra element of collectability and exclusivity to them. They are surprisingly affordable and thequality is superb.
I have been privileged to have been given some of this wonderful art in order to see how it may brighten up my home. I have rather minimalist in decor and, as I rent my home, I am unable to alter the decor dramatically with changes to wall or floor coverings. Artistic Britain pieces have really added a wonderful touch of elegance and quirky charm, and I've had lots of comments from visitors. I have a feeling I'll be buying more for friends and family, too.
I always like to see home grown talent recognised and enjoyed, and this is a great opportunity to support our Great British artists and get some fabulous art for yourself or as the perfect gift. From canvases to cushions to tableware, there is something for everyone.
I hope you enjoy this entertaining and very interesting show. I can't wait!
Love Catherine x
