Is it really only five sleeps to Christmas? It suddenly seems to have come around very quickly after weeks of building up to it. I am a little worried about how calm I am feeling and how organised…I must have forgotten something and will probably have a mad panic on Christmas Eve.
Thanks again to all of you who have been sending cards in, they have certainly made my dressing room more festive! I enjoyed my days off, particularly Sunday as Chris and I went to watch Daniel's Crystal Palace U10's play Fulham.
It was quite weird to be trekking off to football on a Sunday morning, something we used to do every week when Daniel was playing. One of the parents on the touch line asked who our boy was which I was quite chuffed about as I am easily old enough to be a grandparent to a child that age…maybe that's what he meant??!!
It felt good to be able to say the Manager was our son, particularly when the dad said what a good coach he is…proud mummy moment! Apparently David Beckham was there supporting his eldest boy Brooklyn in the U15's match, although I didn't see him, and Jose Mourinho's boy was in goal for the Fulham U13's but the 'special one' wasn't in attendance.
Monday and Tuesday was spent wrapping presents and boxing them up to send to Scotland and Nottingham, and dealing with stuff regarding the house…just waiting for the Survey report now…fingers crossed.
Then on Wednesday it was the Presenter lunch. As I've mentioned before, we don't all get to go to the same lunch as someone has to be on air so it was split over two days. The food went down well as you can see from these plates! I thought I'd set you a little fun competition as it's Christmas:
a) Jackie Kabler
b) Ali Keenan
c) Kathy Taylor
a) Chloe Everton
b) Kathy Taylor
c) Debbie Flint
a) Simon Biagi
b) Craig Rowe
c) Dale Franklin
It's just for fun…or maybe Santa will send you a little something if you guess all three correctly…
I'd better dash now as I'm on at 4pm today with Nails Inc. Remember you can still order with confidence for Christmas delivery until midnight tonight (Friday 20th) and everything on air is on three Easy Pays.
I hope you will join us tomorrow as well as it is our annual QVC Cares day – some of our big brands will be on air telling you about their chosen charities and you can help support them through your purchases.
Have a lovely weekend and a wonderful Christmas and join me on Boxing Day.
Love, Julia xx
