It’s here, it’s here! The E-book and paperback are available on Amazon from next weekend! News update, reviews, and extract below!

Thanks to all those who’ve been commenting on the sneaky extracts posted on my author page! Hehe…

Here’s the blurb – what do you think? Does it appeal to you? Let me know with a comment below, especially if you don’t normally comment!

“More exciting romantic comedy with intrigue, mystery and a twist in the tale, Hawaiian Retreat is Helen’s story, and the third book in the Hawaiian trilogy. A disastrous break up kicks off a year of self-discovery for internationally renowned columnist Helen Parker, as she travels the world in search of ever more exciting thrills.

But when her deepest secrets suddenly catch up with her, how long can Helen stay on course to win the ground-breaking Try it For The First Time Club challenge? As romance blooms, Italian passion meets tantric sensuality in a luxurious retreat deep in the Himalayas – but how long for, when a mystery man appears.

Will he turn out to be the key to her future or a ghost from her past? With everything resting on the nail-biting grand finale in Hawaii, will her secret stay hidden, or will she risk losing her column, her identity – and her man – forever?”

Debbie and AlixHad a last minute change of plan and went to the ‘second home’ I call Belstone, near Okehampton in Devon! What lovely lovely weather too, eh?

Some fab pics and a lovely BBQ with Lucinda, Chris, and their boys George and Tom. Lucinda is Alix’s daughter, and her sister lives in Australia. Alix goes to Oz to her second home once a year and when I go to mine, it’s to Alix’s!

Got tons of editing done – really needed to focus, which is great.

We had some nice meals and a really good catch up. She is a Debbie's family BBQwriter too, under Mary J Hallowell, some really lovely romances on Amazon – do try them.

Anyway, apart from eating, I hardly stopped writing – as did Alix, she was finishing a Halloween story. We’ll be doing another Facebook bash so put 31st October in your diary and join us live online.

Plus, we had a little stroll up to an open day at a huge house that was for sale – amazing views! (Hi to housekeeper and QVC fan Myra and her husband Peter too!)

Beta belters
I’ve been chuffed to bits with the feedback so far from my beta readers – here’s a selection –

Cath P“Very readable, interesting and intriguing! A tasteful steamy scene and some twists and turns that keep me guessing!”

Michelle R“Firstly this really wasn't what I was expecting when we are warned about a steamy bit, I automatically thought here we go boy gets girl into bed the usual blah, blah but oh what a surprise to have something else and in my opinion it' such a good read and so different, which is what I like, well done Debbie on presenting something un-expected!!

I'm really enjoying how the story evolves and I like the way the scenery is described and I can almost imagine myself at the retreat it's sounds divine ha…ha… this is definitely the best read yet.”

Jill D“this is brilliant!!! Desperate to know this secret Helen is carrying!”

Not long now girls! Out on Amazon next weekend!

RiWiSi – Book of the Week – Leighton Denny’s racy autobiography
Leighton Denny bookWhat a week for this man! Our very own award-winning nail expert and tan-man brings us his first ever book! It’s a bit racy tho, so be warned! And covers right up to his first appearances on QVC.

“His roller-coaster life from school dropout to multi award-winning entrepreneur is never short of drama, intrigue and showbiz encounters, but above all, it is an inspirational story of how one boy’s unyielding determination led straight to success!”

“You can hear Leighton speaking to you through the pages and he's led an extraordinary life. Well-written and pacey – defo worth purchasing” CP, Amazon

Reviews already giving it five stars all the way – Ebook only at the moment, paperback coming soon. Buy on Amazon here.

What you eat in publicJust a quick update for you this week. We've had some more wonderful interactions on our Facebook groups, it makes me feel proud to read things referring to my 'Till the Fat Lady Slims' book – like below.

Now – I’ve been noticing the extreme difference between the days I go on my medium dog walk (and before you ask, yes there’s a short and a long too!) and the days I’m just sitting writing. Therefore, apart from using fitbit and doing more with my various devices (I even took the Bodyblade to Devon!)

I hereby solemnly swear that I will be obtaining a treadmill desk – just as soon as the daughter moves into her first house with BF.

With luck, I’ll even have a place for my pilates machine again – then I can have a summer of keeping fit! Before that though, first week in July, I will have my lovely, first ever cruise with veteran cruiser, my mother! The green Kim and Co maxi I ordered came this week so I’ll be wearing that to dinner some nights! Yay!

Hope if you’ve got a holiday coming up, or you’ve been on one and come back heavier and unhappier, that the groups are helping. Full info below.

Over on B2U blog on – my weekly Monday Update – this week's included: a way of joining me at an amazing London all day health talk with Dr Robert Lustig; plus Acid and Alkaline – what’s it all about?; as well as more from our lovely girls on Facebook.

Facebook funnyFacebook funny – Saw this again and thought it looked like me again! Not that Lauren cleans my bit! Lol x

WATCH – 'The Descendants'
Do I REALLY need a reason when it’s got George Clooney in it?! To be honest, it’s one of his best roles ever – playing the bereaved father who makes a stunning discovery – but his rawness and honesty and lack of the usual slick Clooney-ness is what makes this special – watch out for the frantic run up the hills and you’ll see what I mean.

And ohhh that voice!

From the director of 'Sideways' and 'About Schmidt' – no wonder I love it! A real tear jerker too – 9/10. And what’s more? It’s set in Hawaii of course!!

Next week – Believe it or not I have a ‘starring’ on stage appearance – all being well – as the radio announcer in Happy Days the Musical this Friday (20th) in Milton Keynes! Eeek!

Have a fab week!

    Hi Debs,
    Sorry I don’t tweet.
Wanted to tell you that we love the Thomson Celebration, been on it a few times, last year we did Turkey, Greece & Israel, we should have gone to Egypt, with the troubles there they took us to Rhodes instead.
It is not the biggest of ships but we have always found the staff very friendly & the food excellent, love the Captains gala night when you can put your glad rags on.
Hope you have a wonderful time, wish we were going on it again this year.
