As we have hit November and Guy Fawkes is well and truly done and dusted for another year, I thought I would start my countdown to Christmas with some ideas to help you with different sections of your Christmas shopping. I love Christmas and for me choosing gifts for people is the best bit.
I do put a lot of thought into gift buying, and I definitely have a budget in mind for each person I’m buying for. I have to say I find men very difficult to buy for, no matter what the budget – and no offence guys, but you are the most boring category to find exciting pressies for.
So, I thought I’d start with gifts for the guys and try and come up with some lovely ideas.
Here are my top picks for the guys this Christmas, all from QVC!
If your man loves his beer, take a look at our selections from Best of British Beer. There are currently three offerings, ranging from the six bottle Christmas selection (under £20) right up to the 15-piece Best of British collection. The Best of British Beers really are just that, giving you the taste of the nation with their beautifully crafted beers selected from all corners of England, Scotland and Wales. Any beer connoisseur would love these comprehensive collections.
Next I looked at grooming, and you really have to take a look at what QVC has to offer in men’s grooming – there is just so much choice! In the end I narrowed it down to two picks.
Firstly, The Man of The Hour collection from Liz Earle. The name was enough for me actually, but you do get a great canvas wash bag (it’s a little different to the typical black ones) and then two great products, the Men’s Face & Body Wash which smells gorgeous and the Men’s After-Shaving Moisturiser, containing borage oil and avocado.
The second kit is the Elemis Three-Piece Men’s Stocking Filler, containing the Sharp Shower Body Wash, Deep Cleanse Facial Wash, and my husband’s favourite Ice-Cool Foaming Shave Gel. It all comes packaged in a lovely drawstring bag, and it’s an amazing price considering the value.
Something really special
In top spot though I just had to go for Links of London, and the gorgeous British Bulldog Cufflinks Sterling Silver. These are so smart and beautifully cast, very three dimensional and real little characters with the head making up one half of the design and the hind legs and tail making the connecting half. Most men’s gifts are so disposable nowadays, I’m sure these will be treasured for years.
So good luck with your Christmas shopping, I’ll be back soon with some great foodie gift ideas and details of a brand new competition!
Until next time,
