Feeling fruity!

Catherine with some of her harvest Ok, I'm tired of starting my blog entries with profuse apologising for not blogging so I shan't do that this time! I'll just say that life has been full-speed, foot-to-the-floor, 100% full-on busy of late.

I moved house about three months ago but rather than bore you with horror stories of ceilings falling in and showers not working I shall focus here on the fruity side of life at the new Chateau Huntley.

I'm delighted to finally have a very decent sized garden after years of a tiny little patio. The cats love exploring just as much as we do too. There are several apple trees, pear trees, a cherry tree and some wild strawberries growing in abundance. This keeps the local foxes and deer very happy but we're making the most of it too.

I got my Camouflage Company trays and went to my 'mini orchard' for the harvest the other day, blew the dust off my trusty Jack LaLanne juicer and got juicing! I couldn't believe how much fresh juice we had! Absolutely gorgeous!

I'm trying to get a bit healthier (aren't I always? In between the take-aways, that is!) and juicing is such a good way to get your five a day! I bought my juicer years ago from QVC and it's really working hard for me now!

I hope life is full of goodness for you too. Please feel free to write in with fruity juicy recipes. I always love hearing from you.

Lots of love,
Catherine x

    Hi Catherine,
Good luck with your new home and garden. It sounds like you have the ideal opportunity to lead an idyllic existence – I imagine the orchard will be fabulous in summer, just pop outside to pick fresh fruit straight from the tree – that’s when your not dashing around London and working at QVC!
Hopefullly you will post some more photos of you and your new home on this site for your fans.
Best wishes, I always enjoy watching you on QVC.

Glad to know you are happily settled in to your new home,I always think there is something exciting about starting life in a new place something rejuvenating about all the expectations.I am watching you presenting Kim and Co at the moment and cant help thinking what a shame the Hairstyle has changed from that classic Bob you looked so chic and it made you stand out from the crowd. Not many people are lucky enough to be able to carry off such a distinctive haircut,I remember the days of Mary Quant,Purdey,Mary Portas to name but a few. Merely my opinion you understand .
All happiness in your new home.

Hi Catherine, love reading your bloggs – you have re-kindled my love of juicing again now. Here is a recipe I love when I need warming up (just leave the ginger out if you don’t want the heat):- 100g beetroot; 2 cm peeled ginger; 2 eating apples; 350g carrots. Also great served chilled. Love, Gill x

Hi Catherine, No fruity recipes unfortunately, but I feel sure I saw you on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday evening. How lucky are you!!! My apologies if it was not you, if that is the case then you have a very good double. Hope your move has gone well Catherine.
    Take Care Tina X
