Feeling festive and my Christmas wishes to you

8

Hi there!

Christmas started early for me, last weekend in fact. Bex and Dan will be spending the actual day in Rennes in France, where Dan grew up and where his parents still live.

So we celebrated a week early, combining Christmas with the first anniversary of their wedding a year ago (yes, already!)

Mum, Dad, one of my brothers with his family, Rebecca’s godmother and our boys Charlie and Billy were with us too, 16 in all, so the day had a wonderful festive spirit to it.

It was a great opportunity to showcase some of my favourite QVC decorations – the Bethlehem Lights 18 Globe Lights Glitter Spray Light Strand, and a lovely table display by my favourite gardening brand, Plants2Gardens. Plus, it only took a couple of hours to clear up the resulting debris! Of course, I’ll be doing it all again this weekend for the day itself, just without Bex and Dan.

The day really put me in the mood for my hours on air today, my last before Christmas Day.

I couldn’t resist wearing the Santa hat that Charlie’s girlfriend Maddie had given me. I do so hope that you can enjoy your Christmas Day with loved ones, I send my best wishes to you all.

My thoughts are especially with you if you are alone or missing someone you love on the day itself. Sadness can feel so much more intense when it seems that everyone around you is celebrating. Thinking of you and sending love.

I will be back on air at 9am on Tuesday 27th with Simon Biagi for the Morning Show, and I hope you can join us. Until then, have a wonderful Christmas – I wish you health, peace and happiness.

    Hi Susan
I can honestly say I’m happy with the memories and photos from Bex and Dan’s wedding last year – I’m not sure I could do it all again! Having said that, I do love our big family get togethers, even though they’re a lot of work. As you get older, I think you realise what is important in life, and I think the most important of all is your family.
Thanks for all your kind words, and I wish you a very Happy Christmas, and all the very best for 2017.
