Father’s Day is fast approaching and if like us, you struggle to find the right gift for the men in your life, fret no more! We spoke to some of the QVC staff to find out what they’re hoping to buy for their special guys, so hopefully there will be plenty of ideas for you too. Whether your dad/grandad/other half is a gardener or a gadget guy, whether he loves his chocolates or his beer, we have a brilliant selection to choose from. Read on for inspiration…
Jess – Beauty
My dad is a fitness freak, so I’m planning on getting him a Fitbit so he can track his progress and easily set goals – hopefully this will spur him on to sign up for the London Marathon next year, as he’s completed the Royal Parks Half Marathon twice – which as I keep saying, is basically the same thing!
Laura – Fashion
My dad is the life and soul of every party, in fact, he loves hosting parties so much he’s converted the basement into a bar complete with pool table! We’re a family of gin lovers and a gin and tonic will always be my dad’s cocktail of choice. I reckon we’ll be breaking this gin open for a celebratory drink on 18th June.
Men are famously difficult to buy for; when it comes to my dad, difficult is an understatement. He is not the kind of dad you find on a greetings card: he doesn’t drink, doesn’t follow football, doesn’t play golf, and doesn’t wear cufflinks. He does, however, play tennis so for 20-odd years my sisters and I have reluctantly only ever bought him tennis balls, tennis tops, and tennis socks (at his request). It’s all changed this year though, with the discovery of the Magic Knife!
The demonstration on-air is absolutely amazing and persuaded me in seconds. My dad dreads carving meat for roasts (especially Christmas day), and feels bad whenever you get stuck with an uneven chunk on your plate! I’m so happy with this gift, and know he’ll love it!
Amirah – Social Media
My dad is a chef and football mad! If I could get anything for Father’s Day it would be a new Samsung TV It looks really cool and the spec means that I could also use it to watch Netflix when I’m at home. To go with the TV, I would also make sure that I had the perfect snacks to accompany the footie. Joe & Seph’s do some amazing popcorn flavours and Monty Bojangles truffles are also super delish!

Every birthday, Christmas and Father’s Day I have the same problem – what do I buy for Dad? I usually opt for a new shirt or T-shirt but always run the risk of buying the same thing as my sisters (it’s become a running joke in the family that Dad gets a wardrobe refresh every special occasion.) So I thought this Father’s Day I would treat him to the Best of British craft beers as he is partial to a little tipple.
Shiv – Jewellery
My dad can usually be found in the garden, lounging in his chair, paper in hand and a large mug of coffee on the go (oh it’s a tough life for him since retiring some time ago!). His current garden chair has, let’s just say… seen better days! So, this reclining chair is the perfect choice for him. It’s strong and sturdy, can be reclined into so many different positions and – it has a drinks tray for his coffee! He’ll love it.
Ayesha – Garden and Leisure
My husband is a huge fan of Star Wars so I was pretty excited that we have some great Star Wars products that he will love. And because they are both a bit older, my daughters have decided to go for separate gifts this year. My younger one shares her dad’s love for Star Wars so has nabbed this fantastic eau de parfum duo. My older one enjoys pottering in the garden with her dad and so has opted for the 4-in-1 multi tool from Grumpy Gardener – hopefully they can both help keep the garden neat and tidy too.
My dad is notoriously difficult to buy for – there have been gadgets never used, books that have gone un-read and one Christmas where he didn’t even open his presents! But something I know he’d really like (and actually use!) is an Apple iPad.
He runs his own business so it will be easy for him to use while he’s away to keep a check on everything, and it’s so lightweight – he’s not a fan of doing everything on his phone (we text about once a year) but he’s a big desktop fan, so I think it would be the perfect portable in-between gadget. Now I just need to make sure he actually opens it!
