Just a quickie as I'm on an extended Easter break till next week. Hope you all had a nice break – the weather was crazy wasn't it? All four seasons in one day on Good Friday.
I thought I'd try and get a few days off as we are really gearing up now for our momentous move to Chiswick – the logistics involved are quite incredible. Seriously, some of our technical guys here have been working on this project for over 18 months and I can't imagine where you would start on such a massive move! Luckily for all involved, all I have to do is make sure I'm there in good time on our opening day.
I have to say I'm really looking forward to it. That said I'll really miss the old Q Towers – after all, I first set foot there in 1997! That's a long time ago in anyone's book, although not as long ago as the likes of Julia, Julian and Jilly when they first started there. I'm sure I'll be reminiscing a lot more as the actual move gets closer.
As I write, my daughter Ali is dancing at Disneyland Paris, my son Jack is revising for exams (I don't remember playing Xbox in my curriculum?) and Toby is at the vets (more on that next blog). For my sins, I'm off to take the remains of an old table tennis table down to the dump (it fell apart after being left out in the rain).
When I say fell apart – it was more a melting or disintegrating – it was made of a fibre/papier maché boarding – oooops! Talking of things left out in the rain – it's amazing what you find in the Q Car Park (see photoabove), and luckily Her Majesty has dealt with the rain better than the table – her hair looks radiant!
Be in touch soon,
