EMU guest Sarah chats about this Friday’s TSV boots…

Guest Sarah BookerChic and cosy sheepskin boots are right on trend for winter, so get ready for a fabulous Today's Special Value offer from EMU coming up this Friday (7th December)!

The boots are so stylish and versatile;  wear them with skirts or dresses, or with skinny jeans or leggings tucked into them.

We caught up with EMU guest Sarah Booker to find out more about this design and footwear trends for the season…

Tell us what's so special about these Today's Special Value boots?

Today's Special Value EMU bootsThe Echidna is a classic EMU boot and a great alternative to the Stinger Hi with the addition of beautiful plush exposed sheepskin detail at the seams. The super-soft exposed seams matched with the TPR all terrain outsole makes the Echidna a stylish fashion boot that you can wear anywhere.

This design and its colours are exclusive to QVC for the Autumn/Winter 2012 season and is being reproduced especially for QVC. With it's classic and timeless fashion style, this boot has been brought back by popular demand from when it was last aired in October 2010!

What was the design inspiration behind them?

We wanted to create a boot that was fashionable, comfortable and practical. The exposed seams give the Echidna a nomadic/bohemian feel whilst still offering the great features and benefits EMU Australia is famous for…

  • Water-resistant double face sheepskin
  • 100% Australian super-soft sheepskin for better fit and support
  • Moulded heel cup for better fit and support
  • Anatomically correct removable sheepskin insole
  • EMU tough TPR hardwearing all-terrain outdoor rubber sole

What key footwear trends should we look out for this winter?

EMU Echidna sketchWedges and block heels are big this season, also look out for buckles, studs and Western flavours. Purple is a big colour too, so we've added this to our colour palette for the classic Stinger style.

EMU's Sandon low wedge leather boot is a new style for this season, plus look out for new sheepskin styles, Shannondale with it's stud detail, the luxuriously long Dunoon with it's buckle detailing combining fashion with so much warmth, and the cute and cosy Ulong with it's buckle and stud detail in a warm berry colour.

These three have all the qualities you would expect from the EMU sheepskin classics but with an extra fashion twist!

Which is your all-time favourite EMU design?

I have so many favourites – the Melba, Alba, Echidna, Angel Lo, Heighton Hi and I love the new Sandon, but if I have to pin-point one design I would say the Otway as it can be worn in such a variety of ways… with three wooden button fastenings and leather straps you can really play around with it to change the look according to your outfit, whether it be a shorter knee length dress/skirt or skinny jeans/leggings.

Are you looking forward to appearing on QVC?

Yes! I love enthusing about EMU to the QVC viewers, bringing a variety of designs and showcasing new styles and colours. Plus it's always a pleasure to work with all the presenting and production team at QVC! Here are a couple of fun pictures from the last time I was here and bumped into some familiar faces…
