Elemis expert Keeley answers your questions: Part 3

Keeley from Elemis Hi everyone, Keeley from Elemis here,

Here's the last part of my answers to your questions – I hope they've all been helpful.

Q. I'm coming up to 42 and have an olive complexion which tans easily. I have had fairly wrinkle-free skin till recently but am now noticing lines around the eyes and forehead. Which product would you recommend to help? Carolyn.

A. Definitely Pro Collagen Marine Cream, as its so lightweight yet amazing at hydrating the skin too, you’ll never want to be without it!

I have scarring, blackheads and open pores. What products do you recommend? Sylvia.

A. I recommend an intense course of Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash daily after cleansing. Use alongside Tri-Enzyme Serum under your current moisturiser and twice a week after exfoliating apply the amazing Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Gel Mask.

Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream & Cellular Recovery Bliss Capsules Q.
I have oily-combination skin which has become quite dehydrated due to the cold weather this winter. However, I'm still getting breakouts on my chin. I'm currently using the sensitive cleanser & toner, the tri-enzyme wash, serum and mask. Do you think the bliss capsules would help balance my skin? Helen.

A. You hit the nail on the head! Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules are a must and you can use them under Tri Enzyme Serum too.

I'm 50, have broken capillaries and a touch of redness. I am using capsules, cleansers (rose petal and ginseng), Marine cream and oxygenating cream. Got the new cleanser TSV and I would like to know how I can slot it into my routine after a course of capsules. Should I use Tri-Enzyme products as well? Annette.

A. The new Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser can be slotted into your morning and evening routines, so for instance I like to cleanse in the morning with my Rehydrating Rosepetal Cleanser, Tri-Enzyme Facial Wash and then Ginseng Toner but in the evening I really enjoy doing the same but instead of Rosepetal Cleanser, I use the Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser.

Elemis Pro Collagen Eye Renewal Q. I'm 52 and have good skin for my age. My problem is that my eyes are beginning to feel rather crepey and a little hooded. Can you tell me which products I need please? Patricia

I suggest using Pro-Collagen Eye Renewal daily and then twice a week exfoliate with Gentle Rose Exfoliator. Follow with the Absolute Eye Mask which can be left on overnight for an intensive treatment.

I currently use the rosepetal cleasner and ginseng toner with pro collagen marine cream, but I'm finding in this cold weather that my skin is becoming drier and I work in a cancer hospital so the temp is hot hot hot!!! What heavier moisturiser can I use? Also I have the tri-enzyme range and night cream. How do I slot them into my existing skincare routine? Debbie

You could introduce the Pro-Collagen Oxygenating Night Cream in the evening – this will certainly help. You could also introduce a serum like Visible Brilliance that really gives your skin the boost it needs in the winter. Use Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash always after cleansing, then Tri-Enzyme Serum, then if you want you can use the Visible Brilliance Serum day and night with what ever moisturiser you are currently using. Twice a week apply the Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Gel Mask.

Elemis Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt Duo Q. I have a 10 week old son and my skin routine is now non-existent! I have Afro-Caribbean skin which was combination but more dry now, with uneven feeling skin and large pores on my nose. Please can you suggest some time saving products please? Also my 21 month old son LOVES your milk bath! What can you suggest for babies/children's skin as a moisturiser to accompany this please? Sarah

A. I would say to use a course of Tri-Enzyme as this would definitely make a difference to the condition of your skin and you can slot them in alongside you current routine. So happy your little treasure likes the Milk Bath, Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt Oil is beautiful on them too.

I've been using Elemis for just over a year now and have noticed a dramatic improvement in my skin. Having suffered from really bad acne as a teenager and in my twenties (I am now 38), I now very rarely get a breakout. However, I still get a lot of white spots on my forehead that I just can't seem to get rid off. Is it something I am doing? What products would you recommend? Karen

A. I would certainly do a course o f Tri-Enzyme – this will really make a difference. After cleansing use the Tri-Enzyme Resurfacing Facial Wash daily then apply the Tri-Enzyme Serum with your moisturiser over the top. Twice a week apply the Tri-Enzyme Gel Mask – amazing!

Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Q. I have just turned 30 years old, have stopped taking the pill after 12 years (we would like a baby too at some point) and would like a new regime. I have noticed my first few fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes, the skin on my body seems drier and I want to protect my neck and decollete area too. Christina

A. Hello, I'd recommend the following routine. Pro-Radiance Cream Cleanser, Ginseng Toner, Pro-Collagen Marine Cream and Pro Collagen Neck and Bust. Twice a week exfoliate with Papaya Enzyme Peel followed by Tri Enzyme Gel Mask. Frangipani Monoi Moisture Melt would have to be a must have – enjoy!!

I use a combination of Elemis & Decleor, have a good routine (loving the new cleanser!) but I have broken capillaries and a few open pores. My skin is dry also. Can you tell me which mask would be best for my skin please? Heidi.

A. Pro-Collagen Quartz Lift Mask would be brilliant!

    Hi Keeley
I suffer with very sore dry skin and using the marine cream is fabulous but just not enough moisture for me. Since introducing the skin bliss capsules my skin is now glowing. I have been on them for nearly 2 months and when I try and skip a day my skin feels dehydrated and uncomfortable. These capsules are expensive to use every month but I can not find any other moisturising serum product as an alternative in the Elemis range. I do not unfortunately get on with the SOS cream. Your advise on how long I can use the capsules for and what would be any side effects on the skin would be very appreciated.
    Many thanks
