The Great 90s Sportswear Revival!

Nostalgia is one of the driving forces behind the ever-changing world of fashion, and one trend that’s inescapable on the high street at the moment is for retro 90s looks.

The epicentre of this latest trend is unquestionably the younger shopper (let’s gloss over the suggestion that the 90s can now be considered ‘retro’), but here at QVC we’ve sought out ways for you to achieve this trend while transcending throwaway fast-fashion, and without looking like you’re trying to dress a decade or two younger than you are.

As ever, our interpretation of this trend is not a direct facsimile of what you see elsewhere, and in this case we’ve elected for a refined, elegant and altogether more luxe approach that forgoes some 90s trends that we are happy to leave behind (like hair worn in bunches, grunge colours and ripped denim hot pants).

Centigrade coatOne of the easiest ways to achieve the trend is with a pair of dressed-up trainers. Gone are the days when a pair of sneakers were reserved for the school run and walking the dog; luxe finishes like suede, snake-effect and textured leather elevate trainers to night-out-with-the-girls territory, especially paired with skinny jeans or a playsuit. Sportier styles are a perfect match with leggings, an oversized T-shirt and a choker.

Another easy way to hit the 90s look is with a padded puffer jacket, and we’re offering this gorgeous example from Centigrade as a Today’s Special Value offer today, 11th November! Available in four neutral shades, with a robust zip fastening to keep out the cold, it’s the perfect blend of fashion and function as the temperatures plummet.

It’s just one of a selection of padded and quilted styles we’ve got for you to choose from – head over to our Fashion department to explore our selection of cold weather coats.
