Hello, hope you’ve had a great week so far!
I’ve had a really busy time doing a spot of DIY which turned out rather well, if I do say so myself!
I had to box-in a pipe on the stairs. So, out came the tools, wood, screws, drill bits plus raw plugs, and off I went! I’m really pleased with the end result despite cutting and grazing my hands and knuckles on numerous occasions! Ouch! I had a Diamonique show a few days later and had to carefully angle my cuts and bruises away from the camera
My other half’s Dad came to visit on Monday. He’s a retired builder and among the very best I’ve ever come across. He praised my efforts on the boxed-in pipe which really put a smile on my face. He also spent the day building a window seat for our bay. He’s done an amazing job and it has a built in cupboard too. Thank you
He’s definitely earned some delicious home made cake (from my Dad) when he next visits. We just need to choose a colour to paint the seat which, at the moment, is another place for my Cairns to reside!
Any colour suggestions?
So the new year is well and truly upon us and with it comes prizes! I’ve secured, from our jewellery buying team, what can only be described as a treasure chest of pearl and gem jewellery to give away!
We’ll give away the designs throughout the year and we’ll run some of the competitions on my blog and some on my Twitter – so as many as possible are able to enter!
The first competition will be announced early February and entry will be on my blog. Do follow me on Twitter, if you get the chance, as there will be prizes there too.
I’m – @mecharliebrook
I am really excited (sadly, not allowed to enter!) and special thanks to the gem buying team for providing the stunning designs. If you’re a fan of Honora Pearls, then you’ll definitely want to enter.
I’ve a few days off now and I won’t be lifting a hammer, drill or saw. On the other hand (well, right hand to be specific) I will be lifting my tennis racket. I’ve never been one for New Year’s resolutions because if I plan to do something I try and get onto it as soon as possible. However, I have decided this year is the year to develop my volleys in tennis!
Any advice? I’m also really hoping I’ll be fortunate enough to go to Wimbledon Tennis again this year.
I’m back on air this coming Monday 26th January. I hope you can join me with an hour of Kipling at 3pm and I’m thrilled to see I’m also presenting a beauty show as well – Perricone MD Skincare at 6pm.
Take care and see you soon.
Time for some serves and volleys
