We are launching our new brand new Home Improvements show tomorrow (Tuesday 18th September), which will feature tips on tackling DIY jobs around your home. It will look at current trends in home interiors and decorating, and showcase lots of expert hints to improve the look of your home!
We will be showcasing lots of handy DIY helpers, to make improving your home that bit easier.
Our fantastic range on the launch show will include the compact and lightweight Hitachi drill, the handy EasiFlow paint system and the handy Tacwise multi-purpose tacker, plus many more tools and DIY gadgets!
So now that you're in the DIY mood, here are our top three tips to get you started from Home Improvements guest Anna Dorrington:
- Always buy the best paint that you can afford. It does make a difference to the final finish and the durability of the paint job.
- If the paint is too liquid you may need an extra coat, but if it's too solid you may need to water it down. I always water paint down by about 10% to make it smoother.
- When cutting in (painting around the edges first) use a small brush for better accuracy.
We also caught up with journalist Carrie-Anne Skinner, Senior Researcher at the The Good Housekeeping Institute, to get some expert tips on improving your home and current interiors trends.
