I lost 10lbs in five weeks with Diet Chef!

Six weeks ago a message went out on the QVC bongo drums – does anyone want to lose weight, and would you like to try a new diet that we'll be selling at the end of August?

As our curviest (and that's being kind!) presenter, I thought I'd put up my hand before someone did it for me. And so I became the proud owner of a Diet Chef hamper – all my meals for the next 28 days.

I won't go into the details now as you can hear all about the diet in the Morning Show on Monday at 9am and then again at 11am, but I'm delighted with the results. I lost 10lbs in five weeks and my waist is two inches smaller!

Hassel-free dieting

It's a diet that takes all the agony, the planning, the shopping and preparing out of the equation. It takes away any excuse you might use to thwart your success. It removes those moments when you stand at the fridge with the door open, thinking 'What can I eat?'.

All your meals are provided; you just add some fruit and vegetables. The main dishes are delicious and taste home-cooked and really easy to follow. And you don't have to exercise, which can be a real bonus for many people.
Going on Diet Chef doesn't have to take over your life either. Several times when we went out for a meal I just made sensible choices and kept my Diet Chef meal for another day. And when we enjoyed a few days holiday in Scotland I decided to leave the diet at home. I didn't put any weight back on as I had unwittingly re-educated myself as to what and how much to eat.

Still have my goal to hit

So, a 28 day diet spread over five weeks and I'm 10lb lighter. This is only the beginning for me – I admit there's a way to go. I'm hoping that by Christmas I'll be wearing clothes that I've had hidden in the back of my wardrobe for years.

My promise to myself is that when I hit my 50th birthday next March I will be happy and healthy in my weight thanks to Diet Chef.

Diet Chef TSV on Monday

I normally have a lie in on Mondays, but next week I'll be there on the Morning Show to tell you all about how Diet Chef works and again at 11am for a full hour. This is something I believe in, and if you're looking for a weight loss solution it could be the answer for you too. The proof is in the pudding, so to speak, and there's rather less of my pudding now – so there's the proof!

I hope you'll join me Monday 24th August for the Diet Chef TSV. Do ring or text the show if you have any comments or questions. Or leave a message here – I'd love to hear from you.

Take care

    Hello Kathy
Congratulations on your fantastic weight loss! I too need to lose weight and it has been a constant battle for most of my life so I’m looking forward to Monday. The diet sounds like the ideal solution, no weighing or chopping, it’s all done for you. The food preparation is part of my problem so to know that this diet will be available is great. Would you be able to let me know if there is a vegetarian choice? I do eat fish but no meat. Anyway, I look forward to seeing you on the show on Monday and wish you all the best to your goal.
    Kind regards

    Hi Kathy
Congratulations on your super weight loss!
I look forward to the show on Monday. I too need to lose weight and this method seems perfect. Could you let me know whether there is a vegetarian pack available? I do eat fish but no meat.
Wishing you all the best in getting to your goal.
    Many thanks

    Hi Pauline
Yes! Diet chef is easy to follow as all the hard work has been done for you. I’ve done my first 4 weeks to try it out, and I’m going to continue with the tsv for a few months more – there’s an auto-delivery option to have it sent to you every month for up to a year. Unfortunately, we won’t be offering a veggie version on Monday, but we do have plans to in the future, so watch this space!
    Best wishes

    Hi Kathy,
Well done on your fab weight loss! I am also intrigued as to the Diet Chef Diet. I have looked it up on their website, so I get the ‘drift’ of how it works and I may just be tempted on Monday to go for it. I have been dieting now for about 2 months and I have lost a stone which I am thrilled about, but it isn’t easy doing it alone and it seems to get harder the nearer you get to the weight you would like to be. As I still have a little more than another stone to go I think I could probably do with some help! Look forward to seeing you Monday.
    best wishes, Yvonne

    Hi Julie
Don’t worry about my name – I answer to most things!
I hope you give diet chef a go. The best things for me are the lack of hassle, in that everything is done for you – all you need to do is add some fresh veg and fruit – and also that the food really does taste like homemade, so you can enjoy what you eat. I love food, so that’s very important to me.
And one of the best things about QVC is that you can try it with our 30 day money back guarantee so if it doesn’t suit you, you haven’t wasted your money.
If you try it, do let me know how you get on, and try our on-line forum for support.
    Best of luck

    Hi Yvonne
Well done for losing a stone – that’s brilliant! You’re right about how it seems to get harder as you have less to lose – that’s where Diet Chef can really help. I hope you’ve managed to catch one of our shows to gather a bit more information. I think seeing how delicious the food looks (and tastes) is a real inspiration to taking the plunge abd ordering.
I’ve been on Diet Chef for five weeks (I spread my 28 days a little!) and started again today after a break for my summer holiday. If you join in, do let me know – and maybe use our forum on our website for support.
    Best of luck!

    Hi Kathy,
This sounds FAB. I’m watching the programme and feeling sooo encouraged by your belief, positivity and results about Diet Chef. I am 43 and have young twins and have a couple of stone to loose, so all the hard work being taken out of the equation is brilliant as I just don’t have the time to shop, count calories and cook special meals for myself!! I’m off to order my TSV now. Just one question: is this suitable for my husband as well – he’s got a bit of weight to lose too. Well, Kathy, here’s hoping we can help each other achieve those most wanted results!!! Can’t wait for my hamper to arrive. Alison. x.

    Hi Alison
YesYesYes!!! This will be great for your husband too, and just think how easy cooking in the evenings will be! Two bags in the microwave and all you have to worry about is veg or salad?
Seriously, your husband will probably need to eat rather more than you, or his weight loss could be too rapid to be healthy. But all you need do is give him some pasta or rice to go with the diet chef meal. You can have some aswell, 40g dry weight is what they recommend, but if you can manage without, as I have most of the time, your loss will keep up with your hubby’s. Aim for about 2lb a week. If you have different favourites you can swap meals, and of course you can choose different meals to enjoy together as they’re so easy to prepare.
    And GOOD LUCK!
Let me know how you get on.

Well done so far Kathy – keep it up. I too need to lose about 3 stones and was excited to see how much it would cost. I’m afraid it is out of my reach at the moment and even if it wasn’t, I don’t like curries, spicy/hot food, pasta or chocolate milkshake so it doesn’t seem to be suitable for me. Shame because I really like the diet in all other respects. Lorraine x

    Hey Kathy
I have purchased on auto delivery! so no excuses for me! can not wait for it to arrive – my meals made by a chef makes me feel like a celeb and hopefully will leave me looking like one to!! I am really hoping this will end my quest for the perfect diet – after yrs of dieting (for no reason in the first place) i began on the yo yo tread mill and i am now heavier than when i started! so DIET CHEF just might be the one that gets my thought process thinking differently again, i have got to the stage that when i go food shopping i don’t have a clue what to buy ( to many shakes only diets) have done that to me!good luck everyone 🙂

Hi Kathy, your presentation was brilliant, you covered all the points so well communicating what the diet chef system is all about. I wish you well! You look great by the way, didn’t think long hair would suit you but it does! you go for it girl!!
    best wishes,

    Hi Kathy,
Yes, I have gone on the auto delivery option and look forward to ‘getting going’ on the diet! You said a very important thing on one of Mondays presentations, that once you achieve your ‘target weight’ it would be a great idea to still use the Diet chef 2 or 3 times a week to maintain your weight rather than let it go up and up again, which as we all know too well, does happen! I, like others have lost weight, put it back on, lost weight etc etc.
I am so excited about starting this diet, and although I have really put my mind to losing the weight recently your help and others from the forum will be soooo very good to have, and yes, I have joined it. I will keep intouch with you and Catherine if that’s okay?
    best wishes, Yvonne

Both David, my husband, and I thought how well you looked. This was before we knew you were on a new diet. What this shows is that not only will you loose weight on this new diet as it teaches one portion control but it is also full of goodness which literally shines through.
We love your new hairstyle too. You looked good before but wow, now you look 10 years younger!

Hi Kathy, well done on your weight loss so far – i took advantage of the auto delivery option and started today – loved the meals so far – had granola with yoghurt, pea & ham soup and chickpea and apricot tagine with roast tomatoes & courgette and I have to say as a keen cook myself – I was suprised how tasty they are – I have 2-3 stone to lose after 2 kids and this saves having to worry about planning and shopping for the family & then seperate diet options for myself !! where is the online forum – cant find any links?????

Hi Kathy, Well Done! I missed the tSV as I was on holiday, but would love to try it, and reading your post I am encouraged and inspired. I’m going to diet along with you. I need some motivation, the weight has just crept on slowly over the years and all of a sudden I think, Oh no, I’m a large person. Hey Ho, must do something about it. Keep up the good work Kathy and please keep encouraging us all when you are on air.

    Hi Kathy
You really do look fantastic with your longer hair and obvious weight loss. My husband, who isn’t a regular QVC viewer, did a double take when he saw you on Bargain Hunter a few nights ago, as he was amazed to see how fabulous you look now.
I’ve battled my weight for about 25 years and now finally, after losing 11 stone and just approaching my 47th birthday, I like what I see in the mirror!
Good luck with your continued weight loss – you look terrific.

Fiona – did you say ELEVEN STONE?!!! That’s amazing…well done! It can’t have been easy, but you must feel so proud of yourself – and I bet your husband does too.
Thanks for your compliments – I like my new hairstyle but will be even happier whan I’ve lost another stone or two.
    Keep enjpying QVC!
    Take care
