That’s right, folks! And this Thursday, 14th April, it’s a celebration of friendships, fashion and famous names.
Created for QVC, Diamonique‘s simulated gemstones offer you the chance to own beautiful jewellery at a fraction of the cost of real gems. From timeless classics to glittering showstoppers, they all boast amazing clarity, believable colour, low cost, and a beautiful cut.
Friendships are at the forefront of our minds at the moment, so our Today’s Special Value offer will be a gorgeous friendship bracelet that has a disc at the centre, paved in dozens of simulated diamonds. There’s four finishes to choose from – yellow gold, rose gold, rhodium and black rhodium.
It’s a distinctly more luxe take on the woven bracelets we used to exchange at school, and with a convenient slider fastening (covered in even more stones) too, sizing isn’t an option – making it a fab surprise gift for your bestie.
This pave style – using lots and lots of smaller stones – will be something of a feature on the day, with two dedicated All That Glitters hours (at 11am and 6pm).
Understated luxury is a big trend in the world of jewellery at the moment, and those smaller stones mean more facets for lights to bounce off. More facets means more glitter – even from daintier and more delicate everyday pieces!
Speaking of trends, we’ll be casting an eye on the latest jewellery fashions with Spotlight on Diamionique Trends at 4pm, The Diamonique Edit at 1pm (replacing the Lunchtime Show and showcasing a selection of our jewellery experts’ favourites) and Diamonique Loves… Couture at 7pm.
Haute couture – ‘high fashion’ to us non-French speakers – calls for even more intricate detailing and the finest craftsmanship, resulting in more ostentatious pieces that are truly made for the red carpet – none of these pieces could be described as ‘everyday’.
Some of our most popular Diamonique lines are those created with the help of big-name celebs, so we’ll be joined by Andrea McLean at noon and Michelle Mone at 8pm as they showcase their favourite pieces from the extensive collections they’ve helped put together.
The day ends with a three-hour Grand Finale from 9pm, which features key pieces from the day as well as some favourites.
In the line-up will be a pair of gorgeous earrings showcasing new round ‘Atlantis cut’ stones. The constant demand for unique new gemstone cuts has inspired the designer of the Atlantis cut, which boasts 76 facets, to use a special combination of cuts that creates a wavy effect reminiscent of the eternal ocean.
And before we go… you can get a sneak peek of some of our favourite pieces from the day with our Diamonique Day Preview show on Tuesday at 7pm,
Tune in and you’ll be the first to see this gorgeous new simulated benitoite ‘East West’ ring. It’s the first time we’ve created simulated benitoite, one of the lesser-known gemstones.
The natural gem was discovered in 1907 in San Benito County (hence the name) in California – a state for it is now the official gemstone – and it has a beautiful bright purple-blue colour.
In this first ring the stone is sitting across the head of the ring, surrounded by a halo of bright white simulated diamonds that are echoed on the shoulders.
Find this and lots more, all day on Thursday – see you then!
