Designer Day is here again!

Lulu Guinness lips Hi everyone! One of the most exciting events we have at QVC is Designer Day in my opinion. I think it's a great opportunity to showcase the fact that we are not just about steam cleaners and jewellery alone.

I don't know if you've ever come across someone who has had a preconceived idea about QVC and what we do. I certainly have but they soon change their minds and appear genuinely surprised when I proudly list some of the truly great brands we have. Then when I go on to tell them about our designer ranges I think they can see why we have come a long way since the early days.

Our Designer Day this Friday 20th November will focus on top jewellery designer brands such as Lola Rose, fashion designers such as Harald Gloeckler and many handbag greats including, of course, the wonderful Lulu Guinness.

Lulu was awarded an OBE by HM The Queen for her services to the British Fashion Industry and has been a true style icon since her brand launched in 1989. We are incredibly proud to have her on board. In fact, she is as much a fan of QVC as we are of her and she has designed a Today's Special Value especially for us for this Designer Day! Lulu has had two TSV's so far and each sold out by morning so make sure you tune in from midnight on Friday 20th November so as not to miss out.

I'm not going to give anything away about our Designer Day Special Value except that it is a bag! Ok then, the piccy above is from my recent visit to Lulu's flagship store in London. The lips are her trademark (don't you just love the lippy mug?) and line the inside of the bag. That's all for now!

Please tell me what you enjoy about shopping for designer brands on QVC. See you from midnight on Friday!

Love Catherine x

So excited about the Lulu TSV. Just hope it’s available in Aubergine, or even better pink. I didn’t manage to get the other TSV’s (although I am still tempted to order the Aubergine Wanda as it is just beautiful!), so this one shall be mine!

    Hi Chrissi,
I think you’ll just love the latest TSV. Although it isn’t in aubergine or pink (sorry) I can reveal it will be available in a very sophisticated colour palette of four choices. Two are brand new colours to the range and all of them are perfect for the season ahead and classically timeless.
I currently use my ‘Wanda’ bag every day and can highly recommend it as it is such a workhorse of a bag due it’s generous sizing and all round durability so if it must be aubergine and nothing else will do then I think you can’t go wrong there.
I know I go a bit crazy for my Lulu bags but I just know they will stand the test of time and I’ll get the use out of them.
Needless to say I have chosen a new colour for my collection with the TSV! Well, Christmas is on the way, after all…
Looking forward to having your company at midnight.

    Hi Catherine!
I’m so excited about the TSV (is it the bag that has been shown for a split second on the designer day advert)?
Is the bag on easy pay?
I hope it doesn’t sell out before 6am when i can order it!

    Hi Louise,
Now, you’ve stumped me! I can remember seeing the designer day ad but can’t remember the bag…there’s every chance it could be but I wouldn’t like to say for sure without knowing.
There will be some easy payments available with some of Lulu’s range throughout the day but I’m not 100% sure on the TSV yet. With TSV’s it can be very last minute before the final details are confirmed..sorry I can’t be more helpful.
The large ‘Wanda’ bag is on 3 easy payments. That one I know is a definate.
I’ll keep my fingers crossed that it doesn’t sell out before you have the chance to order.
    Enjoy the shows!

    Hi Catherine,
do you know the price yet?
    Thank you,

    Hi Louise,
Yes, I do but I’m not allowed to say until midnight, though. I can tell you it is a considerable saving off the QVC price and will be well under £200.
    Hope that helps,
    Catherine x

Hi Catherine, thank you for your reply. I am sitting here looking at Lulu’s range and I am making my list. I think I’ll have to have a late night tonight so I don’t miss out. Is there a navy in this bag? I am also going to buy the turned out nice again purse (145662) as that will be perfect for the party season.

Louise, you are like me, then. A true fan!
There is a navy. It’s lovely and rich and is the one I have my eye on. It’s called French Navy. I’ve just painted my nails a glorious red to go with these luscious bags tonight.
I love the turned out nice again bag & purse. So cute! I also love the boxes the purses come in. Makes it feel like a pressie every time I change purses.
    Enjoy your treats!

    Hi everyone,
    I just thought I’d re-post a question from a lovely lady called Kelly who was asking about my hair from the midnight show with Lulu. I thought it might be useful if anyone liked it, too;
    “Catherine,
I’m currently watching your hour with LuLu Guiness and your hair looks gorgeous. You have it in a messy bun on the side. PLEASE can you tell me if it’s a hairpiece or not? If it is, do you sell them on QVC and which one is it?
My Mum gets married next year and how you are wearing your hair today is exactly how I want my hair on the day!!!
If you could let me know that would be fantastic.
    Thanks very much
    Kelly”
    …and my reply;
    “Hi Kelly,
Thanks for your lovely message. It is indeed a hairpiece. We only launched the Ken Paves Hairdo range this week and this is one of the most affordable ones and so easy to put in.
The item number is 432770 and it’s priced at £16.75. Some of the colours sold out but it may be worth phoning 0800 51 41 31 (customer services) to see if they can put it on ‘waitlist’ for you so you’ll be first to know when it’s back.
I’d love to see a piccy if you do decide to go for it and wear it on your mum’s special day. I know it’s a long way off but my email is info@catherine-huntley.com if you want to.
I wish your mum all the best for her day and I hope you like the hairpiece. Just form a side ponytail and then wrap the ‘style a do’ around twice. It’s on a band like a hair bobble.
    Lots of love,
    Catherine”

    Hi Catherine
I stayed up for the Lulu TSV and although I love the bag, but couldn’t quite stretch to the cost as there wasn’t any easy pay! Ho-Hum!
    Just love the bags though!
You looked lovely and trim in dark navy.
    All the best
    Pauline

    Hi Pauline,
Great to know you were up with us at midnight. I wish we could have had easy payments, too. I had a little quiet stamp of my feet in a demure tantrum style but to no avail. As you say hey ho! Still, look at it this way..you saved some money this time around. Easy payments are my downfall..crazy easy payments and resistance is futile!
Thanks for your kind comments about me looking trim..I don’t deserve to as I have been the biggest piggy recently!
    Lots of love,
    Catherine x
