We spoke to our guests, Gemma Hadley from Home Living by Kirstie Allsopp and Linda Magistris from Good Housekeeping, to find out a little more about their ranges and what products they love!
Hi Gemma, tell us about the Home Living range from Kirstie Allsopp.
Kirstie Allsopp is a household name in the world of property renovation and interior design. You may have seen her on various property and location progammes over the last decade, including 'Location, Location, Location', 'Relocation, Relocation' and 'Kirstie's Homemade Home'.
Kirstie is renowned for her forthright opinions, love of property and decided to combine these with her passion for interiors, creating her own home living collection – her most exciting project yet!
Each piece in this new collection features the strong colours, iconic patterns and floral themes Kirstie is known for. Every item is designed so that you can make your neutral room as expressive as you want without the need for permanent paint and décor.
What are your favourite items from the range?
My favourite is the Meredith duvet set which features a striking Peony design, it has dramatic colours with soft neutral-taupe accents. It's a great way to make a feature in the room – and one where the possibilities of accessorising are endless! I love her Mallory cushion which features 'Foxy' her border terrier – I think it's cute and the perfect compliment to this set!
Hi Linda, tell us about the Good Housekeeping 2011 summer collection.
The Good Housekeeping Summer Collection 2011 is elegant, stylish and full of feminine charm!
The range is utterly timeless; the subtle sophistication of the bedding blends vintage-inspired designs with high-quality fabrics at affordable prices. The range also comes with the reassurance of being tried and tested by the Good Housekeeping panel, what more could a customer want?
What is your favourite item from the range?
I actually love all the items as they complement each other perfectly. But, if I had to choose, above all else it would have to be the gorgeous Chelsea Arts duvet set. It's adorable little lilac flowers and lovely pale-grey neutral palette would be my ultimate addition when dressing a 'designer bedroom'.
