Congratulations if you identified last week's picture. It was a close up of a micro cassette! See how you get on with this week's.
I've had a lovely few days off recently with a visit from Dad. Between us we ate plenty of delicious food including several take-aways (I just love lemon chicken!), watched a few films on TV and enjoyed some lovely walks with the dogs. Fabulous.
Dad even ventured into the kitchen to make the most divine fruit cake. It's a recipe from years ago which he has tweaked slightly to his own unique formula. It tastes out of this world. He did jot down the recipe for me, which I would share with you, but I've no idea where I've put it now, and besides, it's maybe a secret I'm not allowed to share 😉
Dad's visit wasn't all plain sailing. My two Cairns shredded a pair of Dad's shoes and took a great liking to his slippers. However, they only wanted the left slipper? Funnily enough they weren't interested in the right one at all? Strange!
Dad is back home on the Isle now, the cake all eaten, and his slippers safe and sound – if a little gnarled looking on the left foot!
Speaking of pets, I'd love to meet yours! We did a little feature a while ago on my blog when you kindly sent in pictures of your pets. Well, it was really popular and we'd love to do it again.
I'll show as many as I can in my next blog. Simply tweet me a picture of your pet. Dogs, cats, horses, hamsters, fish, turtles and all other wonderful creatures are welcome. My Twitter address is @mecharliebrook. It'll be fun to meet your pets and share them with everyone who reads my blog.
In my next blog I will hopefully have news of a competition on the way too.
Some more fabulous shows to look out for. You may have seen or heard that Diamonique Day is on the way this Monday 19th May. The buyers have worked so hard to bring you a wonderful line up. I'm on air with Alison Keenan and the grand finale from 9pm. We promise to be on our best behaviour… honest 😉
See you soon and in the meantime here's this week's just for fun guess the picture.
