Deck the halls in… October?!

FullSizeRender (2) editWell Christmas has certainly come early in our household this year – it’s not even November and the tree is up!!

Now before you think I’ve lost the plot completely, I was asked to try out our upcoming Today’s Special Value Christmas tree by interior design expert Alison Cork. I love Christmas and really enjoy all the hours of Christmas decorations and lighting we have on QVC, but when it comes to putting the tree up at home it never seems to look exactly how I imagined it.

I have two trees in my loft: one is a tall slim design, the other a shorter but fuller tree, and although I alternate them every year and try an assortment of lights and decorations they never really stand out.

So I jumped at the chance to try something really different designed by an interior specialist and I must admit I loved the look. The tree is so stylish and very contemporary. I actually like it just on its own but you could add decorations, or colour co-ordinate baubles and ornaments to match a specific room or theme. The most beautiful aspect of the tree is how the electrics are totally invisible; you don’t see any wires at all just the LED lights on the tips of the branches. It’s like something you would see in a rather posh boutique hotel, but it’s incredibly affordable.

For that ultra-modern Christmas look, why not give it a try and transform your home into a winter wonderland. Catch Alison Cork’s designer tree at midnight on Monday night and don’t forget to check out all our other Christmas goodies on the web in our Christmas shop!

Happy shopping,

Jilly x

Hello Jilly. I saw the Alison Cork show, lots of lovely glittering stuff. Talking of glittering, my mum liked that lovely red glitter jumper you were wearing on the tsv show. Will it be on QVC?

Hi Sally, the top I was wearing was from the Attitudes range by Renee at QVC. It was actually from last Christmas but if I see anything similar I shall let you know. I have seen some sparkly tops from both Kim and Co and Michele hope so it might be good to have a browse online when you get a minute! Hope that helps Jilly x

    Hi Nicola,
It was certainly a popular one. Wait until you see what I did with it for Halloween!
