A few days in Wales and the weekend’s offers

2

I hope all’s well.

Last weekend I spent a couple of days visiting my brother Darren, who, last year moved with his fiancé Shelagh to a beautiful stone Cottage in rural Radnorshire, Wales.

It’s set amongst idyllic rolling green hills, lush valleys and woods, together with spectacular high ground. He even has a large pond with a duck island (no ducks at present – long foxy story) and a stream running through the garden. Perfick!

I only packed my Ultrasun Sport 30 at the last moment, well actually Tracey popped it into my bag as she said “you never know !” – she of course was right. Although the weather was a little overcast on Saturday – it was absolutely gorgeous sunshine all day on Sunday and the Ultrasun was a must.
Whilst there Darren took me on a tour of the stunning Elan Valley and we even found time between many long walks with his Collie, Patch to visit a Red Kite feeding farm, where I was able to get some great action shots of these magnificent wild birds feeding. We have Red Kites locally but the only shots I have managed to get are of them gliding overhead, so it was a nice change to catch them swooping down and even landing occasionally.

There were many aspects of my stay that left an impression on me and one of them was just how quiet it was! With no car, train or aircraft noise, especially at night – that said the dawn chorus was deafening!

I wish I could have stayed longer but Q Towers beckoned and I was back on-air on the Monday. Can’t wait to go back and visit them again though.

Back at the Q this weekend I’ll be launching Sunday’s Today’s Special Value (TSV) with guest Steve MacDonald at midnight Saturday. It’s the return of the brilliant Dyson V6 Absolute Cordless Vacuum Cleaner – watch out for a great price and Easy Pay instalments! As many know I’m a huge Dyson fan and have enjoyed trying out their many great designs over the years and that’s just why we sell so many on QVC – we let our customers really try them out – I mean reeaallly try them out at home for unto 30 days.

This is plenty of time to see if the powerful V6 absolute will fit into your lifestyle and home environment.

Then on Sunday evening I’ll be with Jessica Toniolo for two hours of Honora Pearls. Only the top 3% of the pearl harvest makes it to be called an Honora Pearl. The Honora designs also stand out from the crowd and have been a QVC Customer favourite for many years.

Well that’s all from me this week …

Until next time … stay swooping and clean! (I’m not sure what that means either 😉 )

    Hi Dale,
I did try to contact you in the diamonique show, but don’t have twitter!! to say that I bought the fox pendant to keep as a memory of our ‘pet’ fox who comes every day to our front garden for a meal (dog food) She has been coming for over a year. I live in Ambleside Road , Lightwater which I think you know? I have been a member since the beginning of QVC and I remember you when you first started!!
My best wishes to you and your family.
