Another week, another blog! It’s been crazy busy at work recently – so much fun though. Did you manage to see Davina McCall when she spent a day at QVC to bring us her new exercise DVD and healthy eating plan? She absolutely loved it here – I heard her say to one of her team, “I’m glad I didn’t bring my credit card, I’d be buying everything!”. She was an absolute joy to work with – come back soon Davina!
I also had a lot of fun with Gareth Evans who brings us the Vitamix. Something always seems to go slightly wrong when we work together, and this latest show was no exception…I misheard something he said, and it all went downhill from there. Take a look…
I also had a great day last week helping with guest auditions. We have so many new brands coming to QVC all the time, so nearly every Friday we hold auditions for new guest presenters, and we QVC presenters take turns at helping out so the guests get as realistic an experience as possible. It’s always good fun, plus we get to see some of the exciting new products long before they go on air, which is great. Here are a couple of photos from the latest auditions – that’s a new guest for Dyson who will be going on air soon, he is fabulous! (I also like doing guest auditions because it means I can ditch the heels for the day and stick my jeans and flats on…bliss!)
Outside work, the launch of my debut novel is creeping ever closer – less than three months now! D-Day is 22nd October, and my publisher has now started sending copies out to book reviewers. This is SO SCARY, because it means people are actually going to be reading it! My stomach does little back flips every time I think about it. It’s also available now for pre-order on Amazon, although you won’t receive it until October of course, so if you do enjoy a murder mystery, take a look.
Coming up on Wednesday 22nd I’m looking forward to covering for Kathy Tayler again on her Morning Style show. It’s going to be all about feminine style, and will feature designer Michele Hope as well as lots of other great brands including divine Modalu handbags, Diane Gilman jeans, Susan Graver and (my beloved!) Join Clothes. So do join me (no pun intended) then for a fabulous hour of fashion inspiration.
As always you can get in touch with me by leaving a comment below this blog, saying hello on Twitter (@jackiekabler), and I now also have a Facebook page here.
See you soon!
