Debbie picture of three coversThis week -

- Marlene's Health Workshop – Back to You Group gets together

- Little book launch party in Dorking – pics galore!

- My first-ever cruise kicks off with a bang! Istanbul and Bulgaria beach…

- Plus a top blooper from Chloe and skincare expert Keeley from Elemis

- And finally, sneaky peek at upcoming Gatineau, Apple, Silk'n Glide laser hair removal and Cook's Essential bargains!

What a busy weekend! Last Saturday, Marlene was back down from Scotland for a workshop on her amazing health tips and 'Diet Cure' tales.

On Sunday, my novel was up and and it's book launch party time- plus a little 'do' for Facebook girls. Then, back home to pack for my cruise holiday, which I left for at 5am Monday morning! Phew!

Thanks to all of you who took part. Below is a round-up, plus links to my books, if you'd like a steamy novel or three for summer reading! Don't forget to leave me a comment about them too – or kindly leave a review on Amazon!

Had a problem with comments being left, again, this week. There’s still time to enter the comp to win all three of my books in signed paperback – or eBook voucher for the three to put on your kindle. Just leave a comment on last week's blog post saying ‘enter me’-plus, if you like, tell me what your TiFFT would be! Look out for another competition at the end July.

July?! Where has the year gone? Especially since my B2U (Back to You) group have been counting down for 20 weeks for this very special weekend. Kicking off with Marlene's day.

OUR ‘WHAT IF CUTTING OUT CERTAIN FOODS AND INCLUDING OTHERS COULD CHANGE YOUR HEALTH?’ WORKSHOP!

Marlene and group pic OK, for some of us this is a topic along the lines of smoking! We've watched 'Sugar, the Bitter Truth' on YouTube, and we know how toxic and life threatening certain intake of sugar can be.

Well, what if changing to a whole food, plant-based diet could completely sort out many of your issues?

Regular readers of my my blogs will know I've been an advocate of Marlene Watson-Tara's work for a long time, since giving up dairy and becoming mostly veggie, (minus wheat and sugar!) In April 2012, I went on a week long course with her in Scotland.

Her work has continued to astound people. So, it was with great pleasure that I helped arrange another cookery workshop on Saturday – and well attended it was too, by many of our Back To You girls from Facebook. Part of it was a tutorial, part cooking, part eating (!) and part putting faces to names and having great fun!

Marlene and gang with food in frontHere are some of the pics from the day. If you'd like to get her book, see book of the week below in Read It Write It Sell It section.

If you would like to read more information on food and health for free, visit her website and if you'd like to become a tutor yourself, she runs regular two week nutrition diploma courses in Scotland. More on my next Back to You blog on my website.

Thanks to everyone who came along on the day. The Break the Habit group is now full of updates about super macrobiotic dishes everyone's cooking and how much better they're feeling!

The top picture – made me smile, look at how many of us turned up wearing QVC clothes and jewellery – I thought I'd take a pic! From jeans to watches (Glynn, fun token guy!), to 'Kim&Co' dress (I nearly wore this one! – I am wearing it on posh night on cruise, pic next week) to hairpieces (go Zoe!) It made for a cool pic! Also in shot is Jill's DW's lovely doggie Nesta. Mixed bunch eh?! Lol.

SUNDAY GET TOGETHER – BOOK LAUNCH & BREAK THE HABIT GROUP DO!

Selfie on SundaySunday was another lovely day, as my book Hawaiian Retreat was finally released! It's now on Amazon (along with the first two, Hawaiian Escape and Hawaiian Affair)

You can download the eBook, on either your actual kindle or download the free kindle app on your tablet, smartphone or PC.

Or of course, await the paperback, due out on Amazon next weekend! It was lovely to see it get as high as number 323 in the UK Amazon kindle chart, and top ten in three other charts! (Click here to read more).

It's a bit steamy though, so you have been warned! There's already a couple of five-star reviews on Amazon. Thanks to anyone leaving one – much appreciated. Like Andi and Joy so far!

"This is the 3rd in the Hawaiian trilogy and every bit as enthralling as the other 2. It's well written and has you on the edge of your seat wanting more. A great holiday read. More books on these sisters please Debbie" GingerCat, Amazon review.

Do kindly add yours – follow the  links below to get to Amazon for the other books. (Full list, as usual, at bottom of page.) Never fear- if you don't like steamy reads, the PG version will be out in August. There are already PG (racy not raunchy) versions of my other two – see below for Hawaiian Escape PG and Hawaiian Affair PG. Something for everybody – by demand! Haha!

Pic of signing with Marcella It was so lovely to have the little book launch party and I was so chuffed I managed to speak to everybody who came – including a couple of drop-by visitors!

Including Marcella Gugliemucci – a fab regular on Facebook, who is in this book-signing pic with me.

She's also promised me a testimonial on my weight loss book, as she's been using Till The Fat Lady Slims to get her portion control … under control. Well done her! And thanks to our other Back to You gang who popped by.

Thanks as ever to my lovely pal Sharon, for organisation, help and support – she's the best Facebook group admin ever, and a cool buddy to boot!

A lovely day was had by all. Thanks so much to everyone including all the Back to You group who popped by, for our long awaited get-together. I know tons of pics already went up on Facebook! Ta all for coming and making it very special.

CRUISE PART 1
Now of course, I'm aboard this cruise ship, trying to do my blog, (with an awful set up for good wifi!) There’s tons of fab food, entertainment, trips to shore and sunbathing and relaxing in the breeze – mummy and I have done lots of it so far!

I’ve been doing a daily update on my Facebook author page. Just ‘like’ my QVC Facebook page to have access to the daily updates!

Highlights so far – definitely Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul, the most amazing food especially the fish, saying hi to five lovely ladies (and some reluctant hubbies!) including Karen, Susan, Helen, Ann-Marie and Margaret.

Plus being with my crazy mother! Tons of pics next week and videos, it’ll be a holiday special! Meanwhile here are one or two – enjoy!

Debbie cute dogs Dogs on Hols! And sister Daisy was having fun on her own holiday with lovely Jane from Pet HolIdays in Leatherhead – she updated me most days on Facebook – Daisy escapes but the other two had fun with my bro.

Facebook funny

Facebook Funny- I got sent this this week – and had to laugh it’s so true of me! Although I didn’t do too badly this week with some of the trips leaving at 8.30am! Mind you, I didn’t have to talk to anyone! Lol.

WATCH

Lots of films on board this week, including one I've meant to have seen when it was at cinema, and missed. 'August: Osage County', star-studded and nominated for awards, seemed intense, but compelling, with both Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts (the other one!) in leads.

It's an adaptation from the theatre and the problem is, it was so obviously made for the stage that it seems very melodramatic for the big screen. Just too much happening and very, very dour. Not a happy film. But very well performed.

Streep and Roberts are stellar, as is Benedict Cumberbatch playing against type as the simple cousin. Glad I saw it though. Eight out of ten, held off being a seven because Streep is so incredible. Do you agree? Let me know if you've watched it!

NEXT WEEK – cruise pics galore! Bulgaria beach, roaming Romania and Mykonos magic! Plus on Thursday am going to a daytime talk by Dr Robert Lustig (the anti sugar crusader, my hero), and Thurs night, theatre with lovely mate and telly hubby Lee H! Back to a packed week!

Best wishes

Debs

love the pic with the doggy patch wet from swim .
I saw that film on a long haul flight , and thought the acting was good but the story dragged on a bit
