Croatia, a Sunday lunch to remember and my precious nieces!

Cocktails in BracHello!!

How are you? Really hope you are well and enjoying this long awaited sunshine!!? If you know me or have read my past blogs you will know I am a sunshine boy through and through so I am thriving in this heat!! :)

Well, so much has happened since I last blogged; firstly I have been to Croatia and what an amazing trip it was, my only regret was not having visited this beautiful country sooner. I was there for a week with friends and it was truly an unforgettable holiday. We spent time in Split where we explored the old town and the stunning lakes at Krka National park. We then sailed across to Brac, the second largest of the Islands and spent time chilling on the beaches and meeting one of the most eccentric hoteliers I've ever met. Then finally had a couple of days in Dubrovik – what a city!! Hope you like the photos :)

Just after coming back from Croatia I had a wonderful Sunday lunch with friends, you know one of those ones that starts at 12.30 and goes on all day with people coming and going? A great mixture of people, kids, cocktails and laughter, you can see us all smiling ear to ear in the photo.

The loooong lunch! Eating icecream with Jasmine

And then this last weekend I was blessed to have my sister, brother in law and my 2 darling nieces with me for 4 days. I cannot express just how special my family are to me, especially my wonderful sister who is such a tonic to be around. My old niece Jasmine is 10 so we had fun playing games and making our own pop videos on 'Videostar' (See, I am so down with the kids!), we also went to the cinema to see 'All Stars' , I am sure I enjoyed the film far more than a 40 year old should!! You can see us in the photo munching our way through lashings of ice cream!

Baby RubyMy baby niece Ruby is 3 and a half months old and is just adorable. You can see the photo of us when I was baby-sitting her one evening for a few hours – she is such a happy baby and as long as she has a full tummy and clean nappy she just smiles and giggles, what a blessing to be around.

Other than that, all is good, things at QVC are great and I have loads of beauty shows coming up including my own 'Love Beauty with Craig' at 12pm on Sunday 16th June, I will tell you more about this next week….

So, as always, it's time for my 3 THINGS and don't forget to tell me YOURS!!

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: this has to be spending time with my nieces – Jasmine is such an amazing little girl full of personality and fun, and Ruby is just the cutest, sweetest baby there ever was!!

FAVOURITE PRODUCT OF THE WEEK: this is my Heys digital luggage scale, I know it doesn't seem that exciting but when you are travelling with strict luggage restrictions, it gives you such piece of mind. Oh dear, that's the Virgo in me!

HAPPY THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: I have been cycling a lot, there is something about riding in the sunshine that takes me back to being a small boy in the school summer holidays. Our memories are so precious and nobody can ever take the good ones away.

Have a great week and see you soon.

Big big hugs,

    Hello Mr Holiday Craig!!!
looks stunning. I remember my mum and dad going out there for their 30th wedding anniversary (Yugoslavia still then) – they absolutely loved it and now you have been to my favorite part of the world – Cornwall – gorgeous!!!
Well my friend having finished her chemo a couple of weeks ago has just returned to work after having developed pneumonia and having to be in hospital for a few days – happy to say she is back at work today looking much much better – so our celebratory lunch can now be rearranged!!
Going to Blenheim Palace Flower show a week Friday which I am very much looking forward to (have done Hampton Court for a few years now so fancied a change). I am planning on not buying too much!! Have to remember my friend only has a small boot!!!!!
    Three things:
Highlight: spending time with friends and new friends at a local open garden weekend – great fun and put my baking skills to the test!
Product: Still in love with my Kenny Chef!! Takes the stress out of baking
Thought: seeing mate back at work looking well (and that I am going to Blenheim Palace very soon!)
    Take care lovey Craig.
