So we made it to 18 miles – watch the video below of the event – a tiny snippet of it really, courtesy of our camera guy Mark. It was great, glad I did it, and took two days to recover! OMG those aching ankles! Happily my Skechers pumps didn’t give me blisters and the memory foam insoles were comfy underfoot but not quite enough support for my ankles on such a long walk. Maybe the half marathon next year, we’ll see…

So as you’ll see, Jackie and the others made it to the end – at half past seven! Eight and half hours of walking! Our five and half was tough enough – well done them, and what a great cause. It was lovely taking selfies as we walked around the sights of London – here are a few –
If you’d like to sponsor us still – no matter how small a donation – that’d be great – click here, it takes 5 mins. And thank you.
Lulu-QVC-presenter-fest! Got to bed by about 10am Sunday morning, then we were all out at the Lulu concert on Sunday night. Seven presenters all in one place – good job there are 21 of us!
Plus mummy (Lesley) was chuffed to meet up with one of her pop heroes from her younger days – and got a pic for her profile to boot! Wow I didn’t realise how talented Lulu is at songwriting – I’m definitely buying her new album now. It’s here on QVC, and features some amazing new self-penned ballads – my fave. She did a cool Bee Gees medley too – it went down a storm. And who knew that Lulu co-wrote ‘I don’t want to fight anymore,’ the Tina Turner hit? What a star she is. Catch her tour while you can – more here.
Lee Child spills the Beans on the Next Jack Reacher CRIMEFEST weekend was amazing too – with Lee Child being star guest – what a nice man he is. (top pic) Stop press! He told me his next ‘Jack Reacher’ novel called ‘Make Me’ will be out in September – and he’s always top of the charts, so well worth a read if you haven’t tried him before. I loved the weekend.
Had to cut it short to get back for the Moonwalk but next year I will go for the whole thing, I think. Why? Well so far I’ve written romance, but I do READ a lot of crime and cosy crime novels, so it makes sense! Debbie Does Dinner – talking of plates, here’s another one from my Hello Fresh repertoire – but I’m going to expand my choices in the next few months, branching out away from stuff with too much cheese – I kept having to give it away and find non-dairy alternatives! This was delicious though – with tons of veg – right up my street!

Grampa’s Weeder Strikes again And talking of plants, it was time to get out my trusty Grampa’s Weeder once more – ohhhh that feeling of ripping up a pesky dandelion from its root! Whooohooo! Something cathartic about it, that’s for sure – and my garden is nearly yellow-head free once more! Good job I have this clever tool, considering I live next to a field full of them!

Gracie’s been furminated – just look at all this loose fur that came off my five-year old ‘Flabrador’! I swear she lost a couple of inches round her belly too – if only someone could brush me and the same thing would happen – haha! Gracie seemed pleased to be less insulated too in the recent hot weather!
53 year old make up free face – over 8000 views on Facebook – it’s a record – so I thought I’d share it! This was the day after my birthday and just after one of my fave masks – the Gatineau melatogenine one, overnight it’s amazing!

Episodes is back! On a completely different note, one of my top sit coms ‘Episodes’, starring three fantastic actors, is back on the Beeb! Matt le Blanc, playing himself, and Tamsin Craig and Stephen Mangan playing Brits in Hollywood – soooo funny and dark! The pastiche on the scriptwriting business continues… On catch up now, Ep 1 still available for another couple of weeks so don’t miss it! Go here.
Blooper – And finally a short funny for you to watch – lovely model Anita doing exactly what Sally did a couple of months ago – how hilarious!

Destiny? Finally I’ve just had some interesting news – I choose to call it interesting, which means destiny sometimes has a greater plan, right? Well right after I’d finally finished a particular piece of writing I’ve been working on for ages, I got a morning call from my landlord, who told me some news. If it actually happens, I should know next week – and it means the biggest change for me for about 9 years. I will keep you informed but I bet you can guess!
Anyway have a lovely week! I’m off to the Romantic Novelists’ Association summer party then I have booked a couple of days annual leave (we have to use it up or we lose it!) and am going to see writing pal Alix near Okehampton in Devon once more. Can’t wait!
