Craft expert Amy on her visit to Chicago’s Craft show

27

Amy and Suze Weinberg at the craft show Hi everyone,

Welcome to my first blog for QVC– how exciting!

I have just returned from an amazing and very busy trip to Chicago with Dawn and the buyers at QVC and just had to tell you what we have been up to!

We attended 'CHA' which is the Craft & Hobby Association Trade Show held in America twice a year – it's where we go to find new goodies for you all, together with meeting all the USA craft experts and seeing them in action!

We, of course went to one of the most exciting stands – Ranger! Here we met up with Tim Holtz who gave us a personal tour around their huge stand – showing us all his own new goodies as well as products from Claudine Hellmuth and Suze Weinberg (pictured above). Oh, cannot wait for them all to arrive at QVC for you all!

Tim has a brand new tool which is AMAZING, together with lots of stamps, dies and embossing folders. Keep your eyes peeled on-air for when these will arrive! But in the meantime, here are a few pics to get you all excited (they did me!) – I was in technique heaven!!

We also met up with Nancy Hill and Chuck from DCWV – their new products are stunning! We put together kit selections with the buyers and I took photos of their amazing samples. Their products are so beautiful with embossed, glittered and foiled card and paper – gorgeous.

We R Memory Keepers had another great stand, where we met with Andrew who you will have seen on air at QVC. I was particularly interested in their Cinch machine as I have demonstrated it a few times on-air but was so excited by their samples – cannot wait to have another play now!

Andrew also showed us their brand new tool which is due into us at QVC very, very soon! I can tell you that it is so easy to use, creates amazing results and is, as always, amazing quality from WRMK – Oh, I love my job!

Making Memories was another favourite – I watched demonstrations and had a go myself with the Slice, my favourite die-cutting machine, love having this on-air to show you all. I have some really exciting news from them, but cannot tell you anymore than that!! I am sworn to secrecy – all will be revealed on-screen soon!

The most exciting bit though was meeting up with lots and lots of brand new suppliers – it's so exciting finding new goodies for you! There were companies from USA, Canada, UK and even as far as Japan, bringing their brand new goodies to show us all!

The buyers are now frantically back at work putting together kits with these companies and ensuring that we get them in stock quickly, as we are all so excited and cannot wait to get them to air! In the meantime – take a look at these pictures to whet your appetites!

Phew, what a week!

Catch up with you all again soon

Amy x

Wow, sounds good and cannot wait to see the new products especially from Tim, DCWV and Making Memories. I dont have a Slice at present as I usually wait for mark 2 products so teething problems have been ironed out. I dont get on with my manual die cutter (costs too much for dies) so am really hoping your big news from Making Memories will be a new Slice, fingers crossed anyway.

He has a video demo on his blog and it looks good. And his dies look great too. Any chance of another Tim TSV?
