Counting the days to the last Harry Potter film!

I hope your week has been a good one! I miss all the tennis on the telly, I loved every minute of it. However, in the meantime I'm counting down the days until my next cinema visit… Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – part two! I'm a massive Harry Potter fan, in fact my whole family is.

It's amazing to think the first book was published in 1996, around fifteen years ago. I recall picking up The Philosopher's Stone after reading a small article saying how this book appealed to both young and old and that it was snowballing in popularity.

I read the first chapter while visiting relatives in Somerset… after that chapter I became a little anti-social – I couldn't put that book down! I loved the books, and I'm really fortunate to have a copy of Goblet of Fire, signed by JK Rowling! On the announcement of the films, I remember thinking, will they be any good?

Personally, I've really enjoyed the films. Having read the books so many times and knowing them back to front, there are scenes in the books that I wish were captured in the films, but I guess you have to draw a line somewhere, otherwise you'll have a 7 hour film on your hands!

I'm pleased the Deathly Hallows is a two-parter, part one was great…  and part two, well it's just a few days away!

take care and see you soon,

Ps. Don't you just love cinema popcorn?!

    Hi Charlie,
Yes I too am missing the tennis on television. Having just sat through 6 weeks of it starting with the French Open you have to rethink and plan your afternoons!

    Hi Charlie
I’m not so much a huge HP fan (though I love the saucy variety)! I will watch the film but am quite happy to wait till it comes on Sky. I do think a Harry Potter Charlie Bear would be good though. What do you think? xx

Hi Marian, I think a Harry Potter Charlie Bear would be fun! I’m not sure of the licensing implications though. I too like HP sauces!
    See you soon
