Cornish fun, colourful cooking & my 20 favourite things!

Family in CornwallHello!

Well, firstly, apologies for not writing to you in a month, do forgive me. I sometimes get so caught up with chatting to so many of you on Twitter that I forget so many of you don't use that and it's the blog you like reading – I promise to try and be better, slapped wrists for Craigey!

So, how have you been?

Things have been good with me; I had a great July and absolutely loved the sunshine so many of us had, wasn't it glorious?

One of my highlights of July was a trip to Cornwall, I went down to visit my extended family and this time also took my niece Jasmine with me. We had great fun just playing games, doing a treasure hunt and visiting the beach. Sadly though the day we picked for the beach was the day the sun disappeared, typical!! In the photos you can see us getting ready to go into Hidden Valley to do a treasure hunt and then me messing around in Val's "changing gown" – I had never seen one before!

A big thank you has to go out to a lovely lady who was also a QVC viewer called Ginette – I had lost the car keys on the walk to the beach and she had found them and kept them safe – THANK YOU! 🙂

I have also been trying out the TSV that is coming up on the weekend to celebrate 16 years of cook's essentials, can you believe that?! It's a fab set of stainless steel pans with colour on the non-stick and the handles, it's so beautiful! I have been using the set and in the pictures you can see me making a round the world feast – bruschetta to start, stir-fry for main and egg custard tart for dessert, yum! Join me and Simon Brown for the launch on Saturday night!

Finally, you may have noticed QVC has a birthday coming up….? Haha, yes we have been getting ready for the celebration all summer and we will be 20 in October. Us presenters were asked recently for our 20 favourite products from QVC and, rather than list them here, you will be able to see my separate blog with all 20 of them and why they are my favourites…..

SO, as always here are my 3 THINGS for the week:

HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK: this has to be playing ball games with the kids in Cornwall, I had managed to coax them away from the computer games and we had such fun!

FAVOURITE PRODUCT OF THE WEEK: has to be the upcoming TSV from cook's essentials, I love them!

HAPPY THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK: I was exercising outside yesterday and managed to catch an hour of warm sunshine, so relaxing and uplifting and doesn't cost a penny just to soak it up! What's your 3 things??

See you soon,

Craig x

    Hi Craig
You have been busy in the kitchen! Hope you don’t have to return the pans!!
    My three things:
1- Highlight – Looking at butterflies and appreciating the beauty which surround us in cities
2 – Prodict – Has to be Ultra Sun Face 50 and Body 30…might have been a wee bit chilly on a few day but those big bad rays are still out there!
3 – Happy Thought – Being accepting of things given freely and with love.
    Enjoy your week
    Fiona 🙂

    Hello Mr Craig
Sorry not been in touch but have been a little “under the weather”. I had to go onto blood pressure medication (runs in the family!!) and the first lot caused a lot of hair to fall out – not pleasant and a bad lot of Eczema (not had for good many years), they changed the tablets and the new ones have caused severe headaches, vertigo and visual disturbances!!!! So I am feeling a little sorry for myself!! Have stopped taking the tablets and awaiting to see GP to see what we do next – so last couple of months have been not pleasant at all!! Hopefully things will start to improve.
I was so very sad to hear about Amica, I hadn’t realised she was so very poorly. I will miss her (and Beluah of course) on the telly. I hope they are strutting their stuff upstairs!!
I am hoping my favorite product will be the new saucepans (it seems I may have gone on to advanced order sadly!!)
Sadly can’t think of a highlight as it has been a little miserable!! But I am hoping – on a happy thought – that I shall very soon feel like my old self!!
    Take care lovely Craig.
