Complexion perfection from Bareminerals

I wanted to drop in a cheeky extra blog this week simply to talk minerals, Bareminerals! I mentioned I had had a delivery to try out in my Tuesday blog and wanted to make sure I could tell you how I got on with it before the Today’s Special Value this Sunday 25th Feb. It’s the perfect kit to stock up on as it includes two full size pots of your favourite mineral base, a full size primer, soft focus face brush and a gorgeous peachy lipgloss. You even get a fab make-up bag too.

This week I’ve been getting to really put the Bareminerals Foundation to the test. Now I’ve tried it at work before but not at home in my everyday life so I was really looking forward to it.

Let’s start with the silky primer, because as we all probably know by now, a primer really sets the foundations for our foundation! It helps it to stay in place and for longer. It’s a quick extra step which is so worth it.

I already knew the routine when it came to the Bareminerals Foundation thanks to SJ during our live shows, but even if you didn’t it wouldn’t take much to work out. Tip a little foundation into the lid, take your soft focus face brush and swirl, tap, buff. That’s, ‘swirl’ the brush in the powder, ‘tap’ off the excess and then ‘buff’ into your skin. Simple. It goes on smoothly and the coverage is fab whether you want to keep it light or if you wish to build to full coverage. You can even use it as a concealer and eye base. I used the light and I wondered if it would be too fair for me but it balanced to my skin tone perfectly. It’s a very forgiving shade range. You can even mix shades at different times of year if your tone changes enough.

What I really love about this base is that it’s full of lovely healthy, clean ingredients, so no added nasties. It’s kind enough to fall asleep in, although we should obviously be cleansing, it’s ok every now and then! The coverage is good enough for pigmentation, acne scarring, blemishes and thread veins. It’s recommended by dermatologists and it’s even got an SPF15!

Finally the gloss is the perfect peachy colour to add for a light make-up look, or to add over stronger colours to pack a punch!

What I’ve noticed the most is the staying power. I still have the coverage at the end of the day. The picture of me is after a two shows at QVC and I had the Bareminerals Foundation on for at least five hours. If I was going out in the evening though I could afford to buff on a touch more and it look fresh. I also like the fact that I don’t feel ‘caked’ in make-up. It’s also really quick so I can pop it on in the brief few minutes I have in the morning before the school run and I’m out the door!

So please do tune in on Sunday to see the full Bareminerals shows and grab your collection.

I love Bare minerals . Lucky me my brother and sister-in-law’s Christmas gift was a Bare minerals gift box. So I am set up for a couple of years.

I am really disappointed that the TSV did not have even the usual shades for darker skin tones. Why is this so? Are not your richer toned customers worth it? Not buying from Bare Minerals and hope even fair complexions will join us in seeking more shades for richer tones!
