Plant potHiya!

Well, all of a sudden presenters are getting rather competitive with one another! Thompson and Morgan have invited each of us to grow some Lilies for them to judge towards the end of July.

We've been provided with everything we need…. the lilies, compost, and a pot (pictured!)

I was chatting with Richard Jackson and apparently some of my peers have been asking his expert advice! I'd better keep my lilies under close guard just in case sabotage is on the agenda!

We'll keep you posted on twitter and our blogs. I'm no expert gardener but I'm assured they're easy to grow. Any advice is greatly welcomed (but don't tell the others!!)

Destination Gems prizeSpeaking of twitter, do enter my Destination Gems comp if you can. Closing date to win this gorgeous 'Rose de France' is the 11th June. Click here for full terms. It's a lot of fun – simply post or tweet me a picture of you wearing a favourite piece of QVC jewellery. Good luck!

It's been a busy time at home and on the subject of gardening the puppies are doing a great job of digging up the lawn which now resembles a miniature golf course!

It's also been very busy at QVC. I thought you might enjoy some more behind the scenes photos. This time we're in the presenters area. Dale, Julian and I share the one dressing room. It's surprisingly tidy and just incase we forget which room we're in our photos are positioned beside the door (very showbiz!)

Dressing room Lounging

I tend to arrive 3 to 4 hours before going on air. Depending on the nature of the show will determine how early. I'll often lock myself away in our room piled high with paperwork prepping and researching the shows coming up. There'll always be a snack to hand and a refreshing herbal tea! If I get a moment I'll chill out on the lounger (pictured) and see what's happening on air. Do you recognise the hand in the Honora show!?

Piri-Piri burgerBefore going on air I need to ensure I've eaten (have I mentioned before how much I enjoy my food lol!). This burger from our canteen is delicious… Piri-Piri chicken in a bun with some salad and potatoes…. Infact I've ordered this again whilst writing my blog!

I'll leave you this week with a picture of Bramble, looking surprisingly innocent, having just dug another hole in the garden!

Take care,

Charlie x

    Hi Charlie.
Who said you couldn’t get any good photo’s of the puppies ??? You have some really lovely ones [ how cute is Brambles !!!].
Enjoyed Honora pearls last night and had to laugh at the banter with Ralph. He’s such good fun to watch. Bella’s off to the vets tomorrow as her skin is pretty poor [ but we’ll get there again].
Enjoy your week off [ painting !!].Give my best to your dad and hope his back is a little better.
Oh I have now joined Twitter—-but have NO idea how to send a message, I don’t know any one to show me what to do, so if you get a blank message—-it may well be me. So I’ll apologies now.
Take care. Debby, Bella say’s a big whoof.

    Hi Charlie,
Good luck with your lilies, I hope you have not got them at home as you might find that some certain little puppies have dug them up.
Are you three known as the Three Musketers, keep up the good work with the tidy room. I would say the hand is that of Dale’s.
Yes you must have to do a lot of researching with all the things on QVC, especially the jewellery. It is remembering it all then isnt it.
Love the photo of Bramble, innocence is not the word, he is thinking oh no not another hole, who on earth is doing that to my lawn.
The burger looks and sounds delicious. Yes we have noticed that you love your food when you are on the Cookery programmes, mind you it all looks very tempting. Especially when they cook the pies and have the meat on. Both of that is in my freezer.
Keep up the revising and the tidy room.
    Regards Jean.

Hello Debby and whoofs to Bella!
I hope her trip to the vet was a success and things are settling a little for her now.
I do enjoy my shows with Ralph, I’m already looking forward to his next visit!
I’ve been keeping an eye out for a tweet from you but haven’t seen anything come through yet – unless I missed it by mistake. When you get the hang of twitter it can be lots of fun!
    Take care

Hello Jean, thanks for your reply.
The puppies have been digging, as you predicted, so the pot is now relocated! They may look it but they’re not innocent! Utterly adore them!
Well spotted, it is the hand of Silver Fox Franklin!
    Take care
