Cleaning up for autumn, and heading back to school

2

I hope all’s well – so, there was a short lull in the building work at home and quiet returned for a week. Our builders returned refreshed from the Bank Holiday to a day of rain! Ironically stopping them from building a roof to keep the rain out!

I’m told better weather is on it’s way (don’t worry, not from Richard Jackson ;)) but I’ll be with Richard bright and early on Saturday for his ever popular ‘Richard Jackson’s Garden’ show. On Sunday as part of our Autumn Clean Up event (a hot topic at home right now), I’ll be showcasing the Dyson V7 Motorhead cord-free Vacuum – watch out for a great price and easy pays!

Also, it’s not too late to get your family organised as children and or teenagers return to their respective educations. For busy parents a great idea is a slow cooker – this enables you to pop in your ingredients earlier in the day so that your tasty dish is ready for when you’ve returned from the school run? Perhaps you have family members arriving home at different times and the warming function comes into it’s own. We love to eat together as a family whenever we can and this slow cooker from QVC Brand Cook’s Essentials has. 3.5 litre capacity at an amazing price of £19.96. It’s available in stainless steel or red finishes and has an oval stoneware pot with a tempered glass lid. Simply set it on low, high or keep-warm!

If like us you’ll soon be packing off your cherubs to University how about this 3 -in-1 All Seasons hollow fibre duvet set. One is 9-tog rated and the other is 4.5 – they can be used individually or used combined with press studs to keep them together. Prices currently start at £39 for the single and up to £60 for the SuperKing. I think it’s a great idea as it gives you the ability to tailor the level of insulation to suit your bedroom/digs.

That’s all from me other than to wish all school children and students a happy new term! Finally, Ellie found her own way of staying cool in the recent sunny weather!

Until next time stay educated and cool!  …I know they get worse!
