The stresses of moving house

Goodness, it is all go, go, go in our household at the moment…

A For Sale board was put up outside our house which was scary, then a Sale Agreed board, and finally the offer was accepted on our new house…hoorah! But, now the chain has broken! Still, everything's crossed that it'll happen – if I say it often enough it just might.

I was hoping moving could've been a great project for my mum to help with. She'd be the perfect person to research all the things I need as those broken ankles mean she has rather a lot of time on her hands.

In the meantime, "How many days till Christmas?" is the constant question from my children at the moment.  I'm finding it highly amusing that during all the toy adverts they yell, "I want that for my Christmas, just me and no one else". I obviously swiftly rephrase that to "I would like…".

But the funniest thing is all the ads for loo cleaner, bleach and air fresheners prompt the same response, "I want that for MUMMY'S Christmas, just me and no one else".  AAARGH! I shall be opening my presents with great trepidation this year.

It's actually really gearing up for Christmas now – I'm making a snowflake costume for Maddie and an angel outfit for Joe for their nativity plays plus, trying to practice carols for Tom's service in church.

That reminds me, I must check the batteries are all fully charged for the camera and camcorder as Dan and I usually fail dismally at this important and vital part of making memories!

I hope things are all going smoothly for you, if they are I'm delighted. But, could you send some of that smooth, organised calmness my way as right now it's all a bit chaotic!

Love Claire X

    Hi Claire
I just wanted to let you know hw much joy and happiness you bring into our living room every time you appear on QVC! You have such a lovely manner and radiate genuine happiness that it is hard for it not to be infectious!! I have been unwell this year and so have reached to QVC for many an hour of comfort shopping as due to the illness I have been unable to get out and about as usual. I just wanted to wish you well in your imminent move and hope 2009 brings health and well being to you and your family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your consistent verve for life!
