‘Cirque Du Soleil’ in the New Year!

Totem at the Royal Albert Hall Hello (and a very late happy new year!)

I have had a crazy busy couple of weeks. I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year – seems so distant now, half way through January already! So how are those New Year resolutions?

To be honest I don't tend to bother with them. I try to discipline myself to start right away when an idea comes along rather than wait 'til the new year. Having said that I haven't made any resolutions for a while now!

However, for many years I have been promising myself a day out to see 'Cirque Du Soleil'. Well last year I booked tickets for January 2011. We saw the show on Saturday. Did it live up to my expectations of the last few years? Without a doubt – and beyond.

WOW! Just astonishing! The venue was the Royal Albert Hall in London, a stunning location which works in real harmony with the show. The two hours was worth every penny with the highly trained and highly talented acts, along with the set and it's special effects. The show title is 'Totem'. I highly, highly recommend the day out. Children are always a good barometer for entertainment and my two were transfixed!

So that was Saturday, Sunday was very much a day of rest with a slap-up roast dinner in the evening. I must say my gravy enriched with garlic was rather special!

I was unable to make Anthony's leaving do on Friday so I took him out for a bite to eat on Tuesday. We had a great catch up and chatted about our years at QVC. Around 8 years for Anthony and now I'm into my 12th! Time flies when… a) you have children and b) you work shift patterns!

Take care and see you soon

Charlie

Ps. I have this new phone which makes it easy for me to take photos and email them to work! So watch out for more pictures… and video too x

I took my family to see Totem as well -WOW! We all loved it-have seen quite a few of the Cirque Du Soleil now and this was different because of the music- more rock less of the wailing woman!!!!it was good wasn’t it?-well worth the trip from Devon.
