Well I suppose it is really!!!
I’m off on my hiking travels again tomorrow – going to Turkey actually to do some walking with a group from the U.S. that I’m hooking up with over there. I know a couple of the organisers from when I did a hike in Israel. Don’t think it’ll be as intense (well that’s what I’m hoping really). Anyway, I think there’s about 18 of us in total, so that leaves me 15 to meet and hopefully make friends with.
So with that to look forward to, and the fact that there are far more outings than normal in the build-up to the festive season, life is even busier than usual, but lots of fun as well!! We’ve been going to the theatre this year more than I think we have in the last 10 years altogether – even been going to the opera and the ballet too!! Danny wanted to try it and now we love it! Well he loves the opera but not quite got in to the whole ballet thing just yet!!
Anyway last Friday we had tickets to go and see Evita. It was only on for a limited period and we were both really looking forward to it. As usual at chez Dawson, it was rush, rush, rush to get out the door. Then guess what……… had to come back as yours truly had forgotten the tickets!!!
I had originally wanted to send some photos of the event, but it didn’t seem too appropriate to ask hubby to capture our arrival on camera!!! (A bright red face, and hair stuck to my head was never a really good look anyway!!) But hopefully this little piccy will make you smile!!!!
Fortunately the performance was great and we didn’t miss anything so I really don’t know quite what the panic was all about!!! I really must do a blog about my biggest memory blunders, but then again, maybe I’ve already done that?!!!!!
I will have to sign off shortly as the packing and all the organising awaits me. It truly is like a military operation whenever I go away, but I’m so lucky to have Danny and the boys who hold the fort and help look after my brother when I’m gone. Hubby is flying out to Istanbul next Friday to spend a couple of days with me before I return. The only major disappointment is that I will miss one of our biggest gigs of the year next Sunday, as I will be “in transit” as it were………….
It’s the Elemis TSV!!!!!!
Well I intend to make up for it, and so can you!! Never in the history of my blog have you ever seen a competition!! (I know, I know, others are far more on the ball than I am with their blogging!!) You may have had to wait, but I tell you the prize is incredible!!!
A wee hint… if you’re an Elemis fan, you’ll love it. (That’s me all over, subtle as the proverbial ton of bricks!!) Well upon my return, in my next blog, I will be giving all the details!!
So yes indeed, lots to look forward to, and not all about Christmas either. Although it is my favourite time of the year.
Now where’s that passport, and ticket, and visa, and my head…????
Haha!! Take care you lovely lot!!
