Christmas shopping, Christmas shoot and Christmas carpet!

Jilly and a picture of her daughterHi everyone,

Wow can't believe it's November already! Life has been very hectic to say the least. I must say a belated thank you to all of you who voted in the photographic competition last month. I was so pleased to win and it was lovely of Matt Trim to frame our photographs for us.

I keep looking at my photo which looks so professional and yet it was just one of my happy snaps. It just shows you what a great camera can do for your photography.

To those of you who have been following the saga of my floors at home, you'll be relieved to know that the work is almost complete. Considering we discovered the leak in December 2012 it has been a long stressful slog and now all I want for Christmas is some carpet!

Having fun in the (fake!) snow

Filming the Christmas promo was great fun, it's not often that us presenters have a chance to really get together properly so the Christmas shoot is a fantastic opportunity for a good old chinwag and catch up on the gossip! As always Will was on hand to capture all the action behind the scenes!

I have managed to crack on with some Christmas shopping of my own last week. You may have heard me say back in July that I had bought my first Christmas present which is unheard of for me. Unfortunately I still have been able to find where on earth I have put it! You know when you put something away so safe, that you just can't remember where? Anyway I'm sure it will turn up.

So one present bought in July, that is no where to be seen and a few bits and bobs bought last week so I am getting there. I think it gets harder each year to find innovative things to buy, and that’s where QVC's gift hours come in so handy as they are always full of great ideas. I must admit I do love Christmas and really enjoy choosing gifts for family and friends although I do tend to buy things that I like too and sometimes I keep them for myself! I've lost count of the number of Yankee Candles that haven't quite made to the person they were intended for!

Anyway, good luck with your Christmas shopping, don't forget to keep in touch on Twitter (@JillyQVC) and I'll promise to keep you up to date with lots of gorgeous gift ideas!

Happy Shopping!

Jilly x
