Christmas is coming!

Honora's special holiday Today's Special Value Hello… Merry Christmas! Not long now, this month seems to be flying by doesn't it?

For some reason we're surrounded by half a dozen chocolate calendars at home. However, I'm yet to see, eat or taste any of the chocolate though! Everyone is getting there before me! When I was a child I don't think they existed, our advent calendar was solely card and paper with a little festive image to reveal every day. Also, back then we had 24 windows but I'm told that some calendars now have 25 windows!

We love Christmas and the build up to the big day is so exciting. I think our trip to Lapland in 2006 will be remembered as one of the best ever. We stayed there for three or four days with the children and had the most amazing time…

We were so lucky because snow was quite late that year and arrived in Lapland just before we left the UK! We enjoyed reindeer and husky rides, toboggans and snowball fights!! One of my favourite trips was heading out into the wilderness on snowmobiles, it was so exciting! However, I think a real highlight for me was seeing the Northern Lights!WOW! I think the biggest highlight for my children was meeting Father Christmas!

On a festive note I'm launching a couple of fabulous TSVs. HONORA is back! I'll be presenting the show with, of course, Ralph when he brings us our Honora Christmas Today's Special Value!

We will open the box to reveal all (a clue for you… a set of 6!) this coming Tuesday 13th December at 12 midnight! I'm on air the next night (Wednesday) at midnight with our Centigrade Today's Special Value. The timing couldn't be better, suddenly the weather is feeling very, very chilly. There's a real bite in the air right now.

I popped to the shops early Tuesday morning to grab a loaf of bread for pack lunches (we're not very organised right now!). I was wearing my usual jeans and t-shirt combination, it was freezing and a couple of fellow early morning shoppers thought I was ill prepared being without a coat and scarf!

Take care and stay warm and don't eat all of the chocolate!

Charlie xx

PS. After I launch the TSV I'll be getting home in the early hours of the morning, which technically, is the next day! So I'll be able to get to the advent calendar first…. I hope!!

Hi Charlie, I do hope you managed to get to the calendar first and get a chocolate this time? The calendar I had just had 24 days as well and no chocolate! Your holiday to Lapland sounds lovely and I bet the Northern Lights were marvellous to see. I always think of Northern Nights when I hear that! I do have quite a few pieces of bedding from NN, they are lovely, I am using flannel now which is so warm and cosy. Look forward to seeing you and Ralph from Honora, you are good together and are a good laugh! I have quite a few pieces of Honora, such good quality and stunning pearls. Take care, Christine xx
