Christmas is coming!

Pipa with Westlife Gosh! It's been such a busy few months, EVERYONE has had birthdays so we've been inundated with excitement and parties. Mine was the last one and I was given a KitchenAid which was very exciting … although it still hasn't been used but at least it's now out of the box! :)

It’s been a super few months with lots of highlights – including interviewing Westlife on QVC, which was so much fun (albeit rather like controlling four eight year old boys on Smarties!)

So birthdays are over, school has finally broken up after what seemed like never ending Christmas carols, fairs and plays but rumour has it that Christmas is next! Just last week at breakfast, my daughter Ophelia said to me "it's Christmas next Sunday Mummy!" I nearly fell over!!

We spend so long talking about it at QVC that you'd THINK we realise when it's coming? No, quite the opposite – well for me anyway! It becomes so part of the furniture that I forget it's actually going to happen!!

Pipa's daughter OpheliaAnyway, suffice to say it's all coming together…I think! It's a big one for us as I reconnected with my Dad for the first time in eight years earlier this year so for the children it's super exciting as it's their first Christmas with Grandparents! So I hope I don't burn anything!!!

Ooh and another first was last weekend, I took Ophelia to the Olympia Horse Show – I'd heard so many great things about it and having taken up horse riding again this year, just HAD to go for a girly day together (we left the boys building Lego!). We had a blast and she was thrilled to see Santa come charging out on his sleigh, although for me it had to be the Shetland Pony Grand National ….complete hilarity!!

So, wishing you a VERY merry Christmas! I hope there are no last minute panics or disasters … and remember if all else fails, put the kettle on!

Hi Pipa! Happy belated New Year…! Sorry it’s taken me a while! I loved your blog and how fabulous you’ve reconnected with your Dad. You’ve had quite an emotional 2011 really. What with your Auntie and your Dad. And your hubbie’s family a few years ago too. I don’t know how you keep everything going! Have you finished your MSc yet? Mad woman! Amazing you have time to fit in horse riding!! Lovely to do it with gorgeous Ophelia too.
    Chat soon,
    Susan x
