You might have expected Christmas Day to be the one day of the year when you don’t go shopping, but if you love your fashion, I’d urge you to think again. All the QVC presenters and broadcasting team will be with their loved ones celebrating the special day, so there certainly won’t be any live QVC to tune in to. However, we’ve already recorded some fantastic shows to bring you, just in case you need a break from playing charades!
The best news is we’ll still be bringing you a Today’s Special Value, but of course you’ll have to order it on Christmas Day to take advantage of the fantastic price (just under £25, excluding P&P). It’s a cosy duster length cardigan from Christopher Fink in the most gorgeously soft yarn. We’ll have it in two beautiful autumn/winter shades of cherry red and deep green and also a grey marl and denim blue, both of which would be perfect all year around. An easy to wear edge-to-edge style with no fastenings, the slightly longer length (almost to my knees and I’m 5’6″) gives a flattering elegance to the shape. The fabric is warm and cosy but lightweight, so it’s not bulky.
If you like the look of it on me, make sure you spare us a few minutes online or on screen on Christmas Day. Of course, it won’t only be fashion on air – we will have hours devoted to Apple technology, Dyson, hi-tech toys and electronics and also our Christmas sale – maybe something to spend that Christmas gift money on, or to make up for not receiving what you’d hoped for! I hope you can take a look but I mostly hope that you enjoy a fabulous day!
You may have noticed that I’ve been a bit quiet lately, both here on my blog and on screen. I’ve been suffering from a nasty chest infection which I succumbed to shortly after suffering a sad family event, so I’ve had to spend some time recovering at home. But I’m feeling much better now and promise to be back with you soon, probably before you read this!
I’m looking forward to spending Christmas with my family – all three of my grown-up children will be back at home with Olley and me, and Mum will be joining us too. I hope you will be surrounded by the people who mean the most to you, too, and that the festive season brings peace and joy to you. My thoughts are with anyone facing Christmas alone or without a special loved one. It’s a difficult time for many, but hold on to memories of past happier Christmas, and hopefully make a few new memories worth keeping.
Thank you for reading my blog through the year, and may this New Year bring good health and happiness to you.
Take care, Kathy x
