Hello – hope you're all well and having a good start to December. Are you feeling relatively calm in the run up to Christmas? Isn't it weird how this time of year, no matter how organised you are, you can still feel a little panicked and manic – I think there's something in the air, or maybe it's just the excitement!
Well as many of you know, I do my Christmas shopping throughout the year, so I really do have a 'present drawer' (although it's now morphed into a huge part of my wardrobe and a trunk as well!).
I've done about 95% of my shopping with QVC; while I'm a great one for trawling round the shops, I can never seem to find what I'm looking for. So every time I've seen (or have been presenting) something on QVC, that's where I take my ideas from!
Earlier this week I decided it was time to face the rather daunting task of wrapping all the pressies I've bought. The reason it felt like such a mammoth job was that, as per usual, I've gone a bit over the top! Every year I promise myself I'll cut back a bit at Christmas, but every year I don't!
I reckon what with pressies for people at work, plus pressies for family, extended family, friends and neighbours, I had about 50 presents to wrap! So to make things a bit more festive I put the Christmas tree up, played some Christmassy music and also made a 'mini' turkey dinner for me and my flatmate, complete with sprouts and bread sauce – yum!!
How are your preparations going for Christmas? Is your tree up yet? Did you start with Christmas in July, or are you a 'leave it all to the last minute' person? I'd love to hear from you!
See you soon,
