Hello, hope all is well and your week has got off to a good start!
I had some good news today (well not news as such, more of a realisation!). For some reason, for the last few months I've been under the impression that I was 38 years of age, no idea why, strange really. Today though I was looking through my passport and there was my date of birth and it suddenly hit me, I'm not 38 I'm 37... fantastic! It feels great!
Having said all that, I think I'm going through a bit of a midlife crisis! I see sports cars and super trendy clothes attracting my attention! Also, I have some grey hair coming through. Do I dye my hair or let it grow through naturally? My hair stylist (who by the way is young enough to be my daughter - that took some getting used to) says I should leave it natural. What do you think, I'll let you decide... please post your feedback!
I have some cracking shows lined up for you this week. This Saturday morning there's a whole hour dedicated to gifts at 9am and Sound and Vision Zone at 11am. On Sunday after my Diamonique hour at 6pm, I have Lindt chocolates at 7... delicious!
Take care and see you soon,
Charlie x

Hiya,
Hope your week has got off to a good start. Well the clocks went back one hour over the weekend and all of a sudden our evenings have become very dark, very early!
I do love the magic of the four seasons the UK has to offer and autumn has to be one of the most beautiful. I took a trip and visited Bushy Park in Hampton over the weekend. The trees with their colour changing leaves were just stunning. So, although I'm not a fan of the dark nights, our stunning countryside easily makes up for it.
In fact, the early evenings remind me of when I worked at a London recording studio several years ago. It was winter time and I was working on an album which meant very, very long days. I'd arrive at work in the early hours whilst dark and would lock myself away in the studio (with no daylight!) and eventually leave late in the evening, when dark! So there were days when I saw no daylight at all, surreal!
I hope you can catch me this Thursday morning on Diamonique day at 11am and 12pm. And if you love your bears, be sure to tune in to the Charlie Bears show on Sunday 1st November at 9pm!
Take care and see you soon

Hello, hope you had a great weekend... for me it was like travelling back in time!
My career began on the Isle of Wight when I was aged 18 at the local radio station, Isle of Wight Radio. The last time I presented a show there was 12 years ago!
A very good friend of mine is Paul Topping (the breakfast show presenter in the picture wearing a big yellow flower - it will all make sense!). Paul invited me back to take part in 'go yellow day' - a day of awareness and raising funds for the Earl Mount Batten Hospice on the Island.
How could I refuse?! A chance to work again at a very special station and help raise awareness at the same time too!
I had a simply brilliant time. I arrived at 8am in preparation for the show at 10am for a four hour show. Paul is an outstanding presenter so I had a tough act to follow.
The 10am news finished and it was time for me to read the weather. That went well so surely all would be plain sailing!?
What I found hardest was adjusting to the new technology. When I last worked at Isle of Wight Radio we played vinyl and CD's but now everything is played off a PC! Although it took a little getting used to it does make things a lot easier.
The 'go yellow day' event was brilliant. At a local school, a teacher painted their car yellow (very daring if you ask me) and Michael the news reader sat in a bath of yellow custard!
I loved every minute of being on air - Isle of Wight Radio is an outstanding radio station and truly defines local radio. When you're next down that way be sure to tune into FM 107 or FM 102 or check out their website www.iwradio.co.uk
Back at QVC, I'm on air this weekend with Kim and Co this Saturday at 10am and on Sunday 3pm with Ronni Nicole Fashion and at 5pm with Honora Pearls.
Take care, see you soon

Hello, hope you've had a good week so far.
I promised you last week a tasty recipe for Rice Krispies and Mars bars, so here it is.
This is what you'll need....
7-8 Mars bars
4oz margarine
3-4 cups of Rice Krispies.
The process to make is so simple and well worth it too!
1. Simply melt the Mars bars and margarine in a large saucepan on a low heat (I cut up the mars bars, into small pieces first, which seems to help) and stir slowly.
The end result is gooey and chocolaty with a hint of caramel! Soooo tasty! Once made I find it hard to leave them alone!
Let me know how you get on and if you have any other delicious ideas I'd love to hear from you.
Take care and see you soon

Hello! I hope you're well and have had a good week so far!
What is your all time favourite QVC product? It's a bit of a tough question if you ask me.
I was running through in my head what I've bought and am struggling with an answer! My purchases over the years have included…
I'd love to know your all time favourite... it might help me make up my mind!
See you next week, with a recipe involving Rice Krispies and mars bars!
P.S. Got a cracking TSV with Dawn Bibby on Monday 28th Sept from Midnight. See you then! And then to top things off I'm on Gem Day, on the Wednesday, from 2pm with Madagascan Ruby!
Take care

Hiya,
Hope you had a great weekend; mine was a lot of fun.
My tennis club held an end of summer fun night - we had a BBQ, casino, disco and gladiator wrestling! This is where you stand on a small podium and try and knock your opponent off using a giant foam filled baton! Sadly, I lost.
The disco was great and brought back memories of school discos. The earliest I remember was when I was 9-years-old and was dancing to Adam and The Ants' song 'Prince Charming'. That record turned out to be the first record I ever bought... can you remember yours? I'd love to read your feedback.
My sister's first record was Dexy's Midnight Runners with 'Come on Eileen'. You don't hear it that often on the radio, shame as it's a great track.
This coming week I'm being let loose on beauty! Saturday 19th November is Beauty Day and I'll be presenting an hour of Nails Inc at 6pm with the fabulous Helen Harvey.
In fact, it's the only Nails Inc show of the day so tune in if you can. Helen and I presented a show together for the first time a few months ago. I stepped in at the very last minute to present the show due to sickness and Helen and I had a brilliant time.
Take care and see you soon

I trust you had a great weekend... they go so quickly don't they?
On my recent holiday I think I've discovered the finest scones ever!
I often visit Portland in Dorset, it's just next door to Weymouth and you reach it by road which literally takes you out to sea! It's a fabulous place and well worth a visit. If you ever visit, make sure you head to Portland Bill where you'll find the famous lighthouse, beautiful rugged coastline and crashing waves.
Whenever I visit family in Yeovil we always take a day trip to Portland not only for the lovely sea views and fresh air but to sample some of the finest scones ever! Am I exaggerating? I don't think I am!
Next door to the lighthouse is 'The Lobster Pot' which serves great food from tasty sandwiches to fish and chips along with their homemade scones... served warm! We've even been known to take some more home with us they're that good! Take a look for yourselves (I had some strange looks when taking the photo of my scone).
I've got a pretty busy week lined up on QVC with one show I'm especially looking forward too - Charlie Bears, this Sunday evening from midnight with a very special Charlie Bears TSV. That's this Sunday from midnight and one word springs to mind... adorable!
Take care and see you soon

Hi, I'm back!
I've just returned after a few weeks away on the sunny Isle of Wight! On the whole the weather was fabulous. I must say a big thanks to my Dad who cooked me a full English breakfast every morning followed by home made fresh fruit salad. Simply delicious!
I returned to work on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon and came back to 356 emails! Actually I'm not that popular really as many of them were group emails to everyone.
I bumped into Alison Young who treated me to a hot chocolate from our canteen (thank you). We got chatting and she tells me she'll be launching the new Elemis TSV this Saturday evening at midnight which also includes the brand-new Elemis serum. Don't miss out!
Next week I'll show you some pictures of my visit to Portland Bill in Dorset, where, in my opinion, you'll discover some of the finest homemade scones ever!
Take care and see you soon.

Hello,
Where has our summer gone? Let's hope it returns soon!
I've stumbled on what is becoming a new hobby for me and I'd never have thought it of myself… baking bread!
I got chatting to a friend who bakes all his own bread and biscuits so I thought why not give it a try. So I did! The first loaf was a bit doughy and had a crust thicker and tougher than a brick, but after a little tweaking my bread is coming along a treat!
It's also great to know exactly what's going into my bread and ultimately my tummy! If you buy some flour you'll probably find a recipe on the packet - give it a try and let me know how you get on.
Also, if you have a tasty bread recipe leave it in the comments box below - it will come in handy now!
Hope you can catch me this weekend when I present Birkenstock on Saturday at midday. Then on Sunday I have Lola Rose jewellery at 3pm and Artscape Fashion at 5pm.
Take it easy - and get baking!
Cheerio
