Charlie under the desk

I had to hide under the desk!

As I write this week’s blog the day could easily be mistaken for early spring. It is so mild with beautiful blue skies and bright sunshine. T-shirt and jeans today! My cairn terriers aren’t terribly interested in the weather – as long as they get their walk which we’re looking forward to a little later on!

I hope your year has got off to a good start! How are the resolutions going?

My year rounded off with a fun-filled show with Debbie Flint! It was a really entertaining couple of hours and we were on our best behaviour… Most of the time ; )

However, if you caught me on air leading up to the show, you may have heard me joke around saying I was a little nervous at the prospect of working with Debbie for two hours! Well, those nerves soon became fear! I was scared! I needed someone to talk to and who better than my best chum Dale.

I gave Dale a call expressing my concerns, while he was on air with Charlie Bears. Ok, so my timing wasn’t brilliant but I needed a chat, there and then. I couldn’t let the fact that Dale was live on air get in the way! Here’s what happened…

As we head further into January I have some wonderful shows to look forward to.

I’m thrilled to see I’m back on air this Monday 11th January with The Real Pie Company at 5pm. Love these pies especially the Steak Taster selection which includes my all-time favourite, peppered steak. After filling up I have Mayfair Manor bedding.

I’m also delighted to see I’m on air with Ralph and Honora pearls the very next day on Tuesday 12th January at 7pm. We have a fabulous line up for you – and hopefully something extra special in store too! I’ll keep you posted on Twitter!

In the meantime my cairns are looking longingly at their leads so it’s time to head into the sunshine for their daily walk.

I’m on twitter @mecharliebrook. A warm welcome to the new followers, it’s lots of fun with behind the scenes activities at QVC as well as insights as to what is coming up on air.

All the best and see you soon.

Oh dear me Charlie you are so funny.. I don’t know how Dale carried on after that. I watched the show with Debbie later and laughed til I cried. Thank you for brightening my day as you do regularly.

    Hi Charlie,
Yes I saw you under the desk when I was watching Dale on with Charlie Bears, oh you are so funny, can’t have done your back much good.

Did not make any New Year resolutions.

I was hoping this Year would get off to a good start as last year was not good Dog wise. I lost two Labradors and my beautiful Border Collie all with Cancer. Had to rush another of our Labs in to vets for an imergency operation as she had a pyometra, which is a matter of life or death situation if you don’t act straight away, good thing I knew what was wrong. Luckily after operation she was fine, back out on the shoot most weeks since. Then I had to have one of my Cats put to sleep. This year started with another Labrador bitch having to have operation last week as she had some lumps on tum. Luckily results came back as non cancerous.

I miss them all so much, especially the Collie as he was with me all day everyday. I still have seven Labradors, oldest is 10 and the youngest are 3, they are two brothers, had them near the time you had your two gorgeous dogs.

Real Pie Company, oh there pies are so nice, so many to choose from, always got plenty in the freezer.

Take care, enjoy your walks. And stay out from under the desk.

    Love Jean X

Hi Helen – so glad we brought a smile to your face!

I think Dale has forgiven me now ;-)

    All the best

    Hello Jean,

You have had some really difficult times. I’m so sorry. Our animals mean the world to us don’t they.

I had made some new year resolutions but they haven’t really taken off yet and we are nearly half way through January!

I’m glad you enjoyed the New Year Eve antics and you’re right – the Real Pies are divine!

    Kind regards
