Ailments galore at Chez Huntley!

Well, what a week or two it has been! The cats are currently the only beings in this house without some kind of affliction.

My eyes had been very irritated for the past couple of weeks so I went to see my optician when they had gotten quite swollen, light sensitive and were causing headaches. I was started on antibiotic eye drops and packed off to the eye casualty department at my local hospital.

I'm told it's some sort of adverse allergic reaction to something. I'm now on steroid eye drops for a week and desperately hoping I've not suddenly developed a severe allergy to cats! Having four of them, that would be quite a big problem but I think I'd look quite fetching in one of those head-to-toe anti-contamination suits!

Mmmmm!

I had forgotten just how amazingly good lemon EasiYo is until today! It was made fresh last night and I put it in the fridge to chill for the day and just thought I fancied a tiny little bowl as a snack - well, that was the plan. This stuff is so unbelievably scrummy I have just eaten half a jar all to myself!

I think maybe it was a false economy to serve it in a tiny dish (like a ramekin) as it seemed such a small amount. One more teeny desert bowl more wouldn't hurt, would it? Well, several later I am sat here feeling quite naughty and indulgent but at least it's all good for me.

Come on, own up, what food can you just not get enough of and have you ever eaten a half a litre of EasiYo in one sitting like me?

Craft Day's nearly here again...and it's BIG!

That's a little (or big) clue for all my fellow crafters about the Today's Special Value for Craft Day (Sunday 3rd May).

I'll be with you at midnight as we kick off the day's proceedings with an outstanding offering from Kanban (now the UK's largest papercraft manufacturer).

We've seen how the demand for larger cards has taken off and so, if you like yours large, I know you'll be over the moon with what we have for you. Take a look at the piccy (above left) for a taster of what delights await you...

We have Dawn Bibby, Rosemary Merry, Anna Griffin and Brenda Pinnick to name but a few. There's also a plethora of shows to see including Character Papercrafts at 12pm, Tools for the Crafter at 2pm and so much more!

As I say I'll be there as we kick off Craft Day at midnight on Sunday and then from 9pm in the evening with Dawn's Favourites, Crafting with Anna Griffin at 10pm and the Craft Day Grand Finale at 11pm.
