I was watching the D.B. show on Tuesday and I think you said you collect handcrafted cards for the Cats Protection League. If this is right, would you like me to send you some - in their cello bags of course!!! I have been crafting for nearly a year and have quite a lot of stock, which I haven't yet sold,if you would like them. I sell them for Breast Cancer as I had a mastectamy last year. Can you email me a reply please.

Catherine Huntley

Hello Pat,

Thanks for your message. You did, indeed, hear me correctly about the Cats Protection League. I have a huge backlog of cards to send off to them as people have been so very generous.

I will try to track down your email address with our internet department but just in case you see this first you can email me at info@catherine-huntley.co.uk and then I'll have your email to reply to. There is an entry in my Craft Etc blog which gives details regarding the card donations if you'd like to take a look there also.

Pat, I'd also like to commend you for taking such positive action after your own experience with breast cancer. I'm so sorry for the year you must've had but I would like to wish you so much happiness and health as we enter 2009.

I hope to be in touch very soon,

Love Catherine x

Hi Catherine

I was watching you this week showing Honora Pearls on Mon or Tues this week? (cant remember - sat?).

Anyway I normally love your presenting - but this time I was very annoyed. Instead of showing the earings and the type of closing each one had - you put them striaght in your ear!!! aarrgh!!! I ordered a pair anyway - but I fear might have to send them back like the last pair because I couldnt get them in my ear!!! because the curve was too small!. The particular earings I wanted to see were ones that had lever backs - but I suspect the curve will be too small again - for my 'thick ear lopes'. I dont want to send things back - too busy!!!

So please - next time - take that minute - just to show us how the earings close and open, and even if its a straight post - sometimes its too short!!! let us SEE!!

Love ya!!

Catherine Huntley

Hi Veronica,

Apologies and thank you for your feedback!

It's always so useful for me to know what is helpful to people watching and, I must be honest, it hadn't occurred to me that lobe width may have to be a consideration when buying earrings but I can clearly now see what you mean. Going forward I will show the profile and remember your request.

Honora jewellery is so beautiful, isn't it? I sincerley hope the earrings are suitable for you. I'll also pass on your feedback to our buyers as there may well be a great many people who have the same issues with leverback findings.

Many thanks for writing in, keep well & keep warm!

I have already posted this comment but think I may have put it in the wrong place. Saw you with murano glass on monday 9 feb and love your new hair style. It suits you so well. I remember when you first started qvc and were a bit nervous and now you look as if you really belong there and have been there for always. You are one of my favourites.

Catherine Huntley

Hi Sheila,

Thanks so much for your comments. I've always loved what I do at QVC but one thing people may not realise (or believe because of the job I choose to do) is that I'm quite a shy person in situations until I fully relax and that can take a while. I used to get soooo nervous and, sometimes, the nerves still get the better of me and my words come out in a jumbled mess! I am a gemini so, in character traits, I'm a bag of contradictions! Shy one day, outgoing the next. Painfully self critical one minute and, the next, quite confident!

My other half calls these traits 'simply complex' which is, in itself, a bit of a juxtaposition!

Thanks for giving me a boost, Sheila, great to know you're with me when I'm out there!

Hi catherine, I just wanted to say that you always bring a drop of glamour and personaklity to the screen and I find myself transfixed by your beauty; my only regret is that you appear to have a partner because with a 30 day guarantee I'm sure that we'd get on lol.. many thanks Geoffx

Hi Catherine,

I too have once again entered the Race for Life, this will be my 3rd year.
There are so many people touched in some way by this disease. My mum died of cancer when I was 10 years old and I run in memory of her and other close family members who I have also lost to the disease.

It is a very worhtwhile cause and ask as many people to make a donatation to you. As you say, no matter how much or little you can give, every penny will make such a difference to so many.

Good luck with your training!!

Best Wishes
Mags. xx

Catherine Huntley

Dearest Mags,

Thanks for your message. I cannot even begin to think what it must have been like for you losing your mum and I'm so sorry for all of you. I'm sure you carry her close to your heart every day. I'm so pleased you are doing something so positive in memory of her and others you have lost.

I wish you much success with your fundraising and stamina on the day, too.

Much love to you,

Catherine x

Hi Catherine,

Saw u yesterday on the 2hr crafting show. Loved your top, could u (if u are allowed!!) tell me where u bought it. It's very on trend of course, being frills!! I loved the colour....it realy suited you!!
As one crafter to another(I love rubber stamping) I hope u can help.

Thanks Claire x

Catherine Huntley

Hi Claire,

Thanks for the compliment! The top is from Karen Millen, it is a beautiful deep green colour. Its frills emphasise the upper body, and so, have a slimming effect on the waist.

See you soon for more craft & other goodies!

Hi Catherine,
Saw you the other day and your nails look fab are they still your own as i remember you saying you had acrylics on and was going to let your own grow , they look great i have acrylics on and would like to go back to my own nails but they just break as they are so thin i have used opi nail envy to try and help but as they just break off i end up going back to acrylics. If they are your own they look great and if you have any advice for me that would be great.
By the way love the updates on your cats i have 4 and love them all they all have there own personalitys and such fun to watch the things they get up to even my 19 year old cat has his mad moments.
Best wishes sylvia

Catherine Huntley

Hi Sylvia,

Great to hear from you, another cat fan, how lovely.

My nails are now my own. I persevered with OPI Nail Envy and it just suits my nails really well. I have also used Leighton Denny's nail treatments before and found them to be great, too, perhaps it's worth trying that or Pro Strong.

I am a qualified nail technician, myself, and my advice to you would be to keep them short whilst you are getting them into good condition. If there is a lot of damage/they are thin & bendy they may take a few months to regain strength. Keeping them more 'square' shaped will also help.

One of my all time best buys from QVC is Seche Vite top coat. It dries really fast, it seems to create an armour like shield over the nail (I usually use nail envy as a base, then 2 coats of Leighton's natural white to camouflage any damaged areas and then a thick layer of seche vite) which protects the varnish but also seems to create a very hard coat which further protects the nail. Apply it super thick and it appears as though you've had gel nails applied. I wouldn't be without it now.

Let me know how you get on, I hope this helps.

Love to you and the pusscats,

Catherine x

sylvia beaumont

Vanessa Adams

Hi Catherine, you are my favourite presenter and I watch all your shows if I can! I also have 2 cats, Sugar and Muffin, they are both 13. Muffin is very naughty and Sugar is very sweet! I am going to order the diamonique star pendant that you say you have yourself, as it is lovely and will go with so many of my clothes. Best wishes, Vanessa x

Gillian O'Neill

Hi Catherine, I read with interest your request for more info on the contraption to train cats to use the loo! You don't need it. My cat Oscar amazed me last week by getting on the loo after me and having a wee wee just sitting on the seat like we do. They see us doing it and just copy. I didn't encourage him - he just thought of it himself but I'm sure with a little encouragement any cat could to it. Will try to let you have a photograph. Would it be best to send a copy by post as I can't seem to see how to e-mail you it personally. Much Love to you and your cats. xx Gillian, Darlington.

Catherine Huntley

Hi Vanessa, lovely to hear from you. Great kittycat names, by the way. I'd get hungry every time I called them! I hope you like your star pendant. I adore my diamonique and the collection keeps on growing.

Gillian, wow, that is amazing. I am green with envy...or am I green because of the stench of cat litter trays? I think I'll need more persuasion as I have four cats but it's all encouraging news..it can be done! You can email me at info@catherine-huntley.co.uk

Very disappointed if the large card kit is the TSV on 3rd May. Well at least I won't be buying it. I Was hoping it would have been the rounder from W R Memory Keepers.

Anne Pemberton

Hi Catherine

I'm a bit dissapointed in the Craft Day TSV, fed up with these large cards that are crafting by numbers and cost a fortune if you need to post them. But on a good note do like the Patchwork Pals kit, they are similar to the 'Flippin men & women & kids' decoupage sheets.
Please could we have more craft items for Men's cards.

Anne Pemberton

Catherine Huntley

Hi Sandra,

Nice to hear from afellow 'we r memory keepers' fan. I do love their stuff and have to admit to not having heard of the 'rounder'. Off to google it now! Sorry the tsv wasn't your cuppa tea this time around. Craft is a very personal thing, isn't it? One crafter's heaven is another's hell but hopefully we had some bits & pieces that appealed to you on craft day. Thanks for watching.

All the best,

Catherine x

Catherine Huntley

Hi Anne,

Thanks for your feedback, sorry to hear the tsv didn't float your boat this time but really pleased the patchwork pals impressed. I don't think I've ever seen that kind of thing with the front & back detail. So cute.

I will pass your comments on to our buyers. I'd love to see some more mens themed kits, too, and maybe a few more pet themed kits. They always go so quick.

Happy crafting, Anne.

Love Catherine x
