Well it certainly has been here at Chez Huntley over the past few months! I've always loved my cook's essentials cookware but I think it was buying my KitchenAid mixer that really got my creative culinary juices flowing! Since then we've made cupcakes, breads, stews, dumplings, smoothies and so much more. I recently also invested in the kitchenaid blender and am really getting great use out if it.
My most recent addition to the kitchen is the cook's essentials Today's Special Value offer, which is coming up at midnight on Tuesday and will feature all day on Wednesday at a price of under £20! It slices, dices, chips, juliennes, grates, zests and has lots of really great features. My son and I road-tested it by making potato rosti.

Step into Spring! That's what we'll be doing here at QVC in a special event from the 21st to the 23rd of March! After all the gloomy winter weather I'm overjoyed to have seen some glorious sunshine finally appear over the past few days. For me the new year doesn't really feel as though it has properly started until spring - new weather, new flowers, new opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors.
I love going for walks and it's so beautiful outside just now with all the new flowers beginning to bloom. We have shows that will help you to rejuvenate your garden and bring the new season in with style!

Hi everyone, I hope you've all been wrapped up cozily against the chill of winter. Here at our house we've been keeping out the chill by cooking up some treats!
My son, Tom, is somewhat of a culinary wizard and I am taking great pleasure in sharing the joys of our KitchenAid mixer with him. Over the last few weeks we've made the delights you see here in the photos...
Salmon and leek soup with cayenne crab toast(left), cheese and marmite bread (below left), hearty beef stew with dumplings (bottom image) and, maybe best of all, a fabulous, gooey, and extremely calorific banoffee pie (top image)!

Yes, it's all done and dusted! The play was a complete success! I had such a wonderful time doing it and it looks as though it won't be a one off, either!
I had so much support from my QVC buddies, colleagues and customers alike! I thought you might like to see a few piccies. I'm sure you'll recognise a few familiar faces in amongst them too.

Those of you on twitter will know me as @TheHuntley and will know why I've been absent from the QVC screen for the last couple of weeks.
For those of you who don't, I've been in rehearsals for a play I'm in, which runs from 1st to 6th November at Baron's Court Theatre (one of London's premier fringe theatre venues).
People often ask if we have a script or auto-cue at QVC but the answer is no. Having been cast in a leading role for Tamsin Oglesby's 'My Best Friend', I've had to readjust to learning lines! Gosh, it's tough! I have been loving it, though.

Hi everyone!
I've been missing QVC massively whilst I've been off (working hard in rehearsals for a play I'm in soon but more on that in the next blog). I'm coming back on Tuesday 25th with some very exciting shows!
I'm especially thrilled to be on with Lulu at noon. Isn't she doing incredibly well on 'Strictly Come Dancing'? I was lucky enough to get an invite to go to last week's show and watch with my friend (and Lulu/Strictly-mad fellow cast member). Lulu looked like an angel! The judges certainly thought so too. One comment was that she looked 'like a teenager'!
When judge Len, used 'Dewy and juicy' to describe how she was looking that night I couldn't have agreed more! She really does have the most amazing skin. Obviously, she's had access to the very best skincare available, but it was years of devising her own regime that enabled her to share her beauty secrets with the rest of us in the form of Time Bomb.

Ok, I'm tired of starting my blog entries with profuse apologising for not blogging so I shan't do that this time! I'll just say that life has been full-speed, foot-to-the-floor, 100% full-on busy of late.
I moved house about three months ago but rather than bore you with horror stories of ceilings falling in and showers not working I shall focus here on the fruity side of life at the new Chateau Huntley.
I'm delighted to finally have a very decent sized garden after years of a tiny little patio. The cats love exploring just as much as we do too. There are several apple trees, pear trees, a cherry tree and some wild strawberries growing in abundance. This keeps the local foxes and deer very happy but we're making the most of it too.

I just can't tell at the moment with all this rain! Either way, I can't quite believe it's nearly July already. Where did the time go?
It's been a very busy year so far at QVC. We've had some amazing musical guests recently, haven't we? Matthew Morrison of Glee fame, the ridiculously talented Jackie Evancho and the latest news is that Peter Andre is coming see us with his new single very soon! It's all go at Le Q just now.
Our craft department is also rather hectic just now with lots of exciting new shows, products and experts on the horizon. A few weeks ago I joined in a masterclass with Carolyn Shultz, jewellery maker extraordinaire, and absolutely loved it!
