Presenters’ Christmas lunch

Anthony and his beer gogglesI always think it’s a shame we presenters don’t get more catch up time, sometimes we’re just ships that pass in the night…or ‘blurs’ that pass by the dressing rooms! Well Christmas is always a very good reason to get together with friends so we took some time out and went to lunch together.

Obviously as QVC is on 17 hours live every day we couldn’t all meet up in one go, as someone has to hold the fort back at QVC Towers, but we had quite a gathering last week with many faces you know very well; Anthony, Julia, Charlie, Sara, Jill, Julian, Anne and myself.

We did a ‘Secret Santa’ but we always end up telling each other who bought what so it’s not that secret in the end. I was delighted when Ant ended up with mine as part of it was a pair of ‘beer goggles’ and I knew he’d be up for modelling them even though he’s a teetotaller, doesn’t he look fab?

I got some blonde hair dye from Jill Franks! I didn’t use it but, funnily enough, I am in the process of returning to my blonder look…so watch this space! The only thing I do not like at all about this lovely time of year is just how cold it gets!

Julia and JillI have been lucky enough to be trying out the Centigrade Today’s Special Value, which I am launching with Glen tonight. It’s so cosy and snug but very stylish all at the same time so if you’re looking for a great winter coat or a very impressive gift of style I hope to have your company at Midnight!

I’d love to hear your Secret Santa stories and let me know what you think of the Centigrade coat when you see it too.

Love Catherine x

Ok, my Secret Santa story for you Catherine……
When I was working in the theatre we used to do a Secret Santa for the whole of the theatre which meant that those who were part of the production showing at the time were also included. This meant that you sometimes didn’t know the person whose name you drew.
This and the poor handwriting lead to a hilarious unwrapping one Christmas when “Julia” and “Julian” were mixed up!….Need I say more? Ha ha ha ha!

Catherine why change to being blonde when you are a stunner with your beautiful dark hair that is so much nicer than a bleached blonde
you are such a polished presenter & you look amazing as you are
    Happy christmas

I am really glad you are going back to being a blonde and although you are lovely with your hair dark, I just thought you were stunning with the blonde hair.

Hi ladies, or should I say the the 3 J’s? Joanne, Jean and Jooly!
Great hearing from you. Secret Santa’s are often a bit cheeky, aren’t they? Brings out the naughty side in some! I can just imagine the Julian/Julia mix up (another 2 J’s!). We didn’t put names in a hat, we just all bout a gift up to the value of £5 and threw them in a bag then handed them around one by one.
I still have last year’s and use it, too. It was from Simon Biagi. You know those souvenir t-shirts that say ‘someone went to London and all I got was this lousy t-shirt’ well Simon had crossed through London and ironed on a patch that said QVC!! It’s actually a great top for just lounging about in and always makes me smile remembering when I got it.
The blonde/brunette thing…I get emails and feedback which is very divided on this but I think I feel more ‘me’ when I am blonde and as I have some greys popping through I think it’s a good time to lighten up.
You never know though, with me I could be bright blue by next week!
    Happy Christmas girls!
    Catherine x
